I think it’s just the Donner scenes in the FOS where Reeve had his real hair. Also the scene in Lex Luthors Lair and also the interview at Lois apartment.
Other than that Reeve wore a wig. Do you think this was difficult for Reeve? To go from this Adonis guy with a full thick head of hair playing Superman and then be reduced to wearing a wig?
How was the decision to put a wig on Reeve made? Did he show up on set one day with a thin wispy head of hair which horrified Geoffrey Unsworth so they stuck a wig on him. The wig is most noticeable on the interview scene when they throw in that insert of Superman saying he likes pink very much.
Anyway Reeve had to wear a wig in S3 and 4… and in S4 the scenes of sick Superman is actually Reeves real hair!
Reeve just never had a good head of hair after Superman culminating in his terrible terrible early 90s hair.

I'd read he had suffered from allopecia- where hair can fall out. (A relative suffered this for awhile). I know there's humor in this thread, but this idea did come to mind, too.... with Superman 3 I remember seeing bits of brown show up (showing just how sloppy Lester was)- so that had to be hair dye, but it is an interesting question for real...

Well Jack O'Halloran said that Reeve began to believe his own hype and strutted around the set like he thought he really was Superman. What if Jack had snatched Reeve's wig off to teach him some humility?
Regarding Superman 3, I always thought Superman had GREY hair on the sides. It was because again the blue suit, the brown streaks read as grey. But wasn't the brown streaks just PART of the wig?

He was Reeve Only when he played sick Superman in IV. The balding look was actually his real hair. How about Remains of the Day and Village of the Damned? Was that not his real hair either? He had his real hair in those movies. But in Superman he was all wig all the time. In Superman 4, his hair was falling out really bad compounded by the stress of making that awful film. Reeve had to put on a brave face for Jon Cryer and Mark Pillow who were blissfully unaware that the film was a catastrophe and Reeve would sweat bullets making his hair totally fall out.
