One of the biggest disappointments (besides for lack of apology to Enrique from bullies) has been the nonexistent release of the Selutron cut.
Will it ever be released?
Try to do it please.

Once upon a time, in a world where dreams often collided with harsh realities, there lived a man named Selutron. He was an ardent admirer of cinema, particularly the iconic superhero film “Superman II,” directed by Richard Donner. Selutron had long harbored aspirations of restoring this cinematic masterpiece to its former glory, believing that he could enhance its narrative and visual splendor through his own creative vision. However, life had other plans for him.
Selutron’s passion for film restoration was overshadowed by the relentless grind of daily existence. Financial struggles plagued him; he found himself unable to secure funding or support for his ambitious project. As the years passed, his dreams faded like the colors of an old film reel, and he ultimately succumbed to despair. With no other options available, Selutron took a job as a toilet cleaner at a local cinema—an ironic twist of fate for someone who once aspired to elevate the art of filmmaking.
One fateful day, while diligently scrubbing the restrooms in preparation for the evening crowd, Selutron encountered none other than Richard Donner himself. The legendary director had come to watch a screening of one of his films. As Selutron worked tirelessly to maintain cleanliness and order in the restroom, he felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of meeting his idol.
However, when Donner entered the restroom and immediately relieved himself in one of the urinals—without so much as a glance at Selutron—the moment turned sour. After finishing his business, Donner turned around and yelled at Selutron with disdain: “Clean up my urine, you loser!” The words struck Selutron like daggers; they echoed in his mind long after Donner had left.
Feeling humiliated and dejected, Selutron returned to his task with heavy heart. He spent hours cleaning every inch of that restroom only to have it sullied moments later by someone he admired deeply. In that moment of vulnerability and despair, he felt utterly defeated—not just by Donner’s words but by life itself.
As hunger gnawed at him during his shift, Selutron rummaged through the supplies closet looking for something to eat. With no money to buy food and feeling desperate enough to resort to anything edible, he spotted a urinal cake—a product designed to mask odors and keep restrooms fresh. In an act that epitomized his tragic circumstances, he took one urinal cake from work and placed it between two pieces of bread as if it were an ordinary sandwich.
With each bite he took from that grotesque creation—a symbol not only of his dire situation but also of lost dreams—Selutron reflected on how far he had fallen from aspiring filmmaker to toilet cleaner. The taste was revolting; yet it served as a bitter reminder that sometimes life does not unfold as we hope or expect.
In this sad tale of unfulfilled aspirations and crushing disappointment, Selutron became emblematic of countless individuals whose dreams are stifled by circumstance. His story serves as a poignant reminder that even those who dare greatly can find themselves trapped in lives they never intended to lead.

I hope one day there can be a definitive Superman II fan edit in the style of Selutron’s work, but we need the full Superman II TV edit in widescreen to accomplish it.
