Know what? It really seems that those promo pics of Brandon were taken Before he got in bigger shape for Superman Returns.
He just looks way bigger in the movie in most scenes.
Anyone think so?

Ah, Russ. Again with the padded jokes. Fact of the matter is Routh bulked up as much as Reeve did for Superman: The Movie.
Star, you are correct. Some of the promo shots were taken before Routhy bulked up.

Just like Reeve. He looked downright puny in the Fortress scenes. Now at Lois' balcony and seeing Lois/Jimmy at the end of STM, now that's muscle.

Yeah, Reeve kept on bulking up during the production of the film. Routh wasn't able to keep on going. He could maintain but he was not allowed to bulk up anymore than he was at the start of filming.. Or else he'd tear the very expensive suites.

Yeah, I knew what Jim was referring to. The added scene in the Special Edition makes Reeve look, underwhelming. I can see why it was cut out.

No joke Legsy, disappointing he wore a padded suit to start off with; Lacey Warfield would have killed for those shoulder pads! |

The padded suit was added because the suit was made of miliskin. It took away so much definition. It's all about the suit design. IMHO, although I liked the SR suit, it wasn't right for Routh. Had they picked other materials other than miliskin, Routh wouldn't have needed the additional padding.

His neck would have looked so much better if his suit was like Sebastian's latest manip. He looks garroted in some shots.
