Yep, you'd figure an actor of Spacey's caliber would recommend a better actress.

I thought Bosworth looked kind of young for Lois Lane. Was she supposed to have Jason when she was 16?

12. Bosworth looked 18 in SR. By far the worst casting decision Singer has ever made.

Spacey I understand reccomended her: She was in a film with him, and in that movie, she was supposed to age during the course of the film, and Singer liked her performance in it.

Great interview, pity it wasn't longer.
The neat thing was to hear that the guy was experienced with the other Superman films- but, given that--- although I'm a big supporter of SR, I have to admit that I wasn't as blown away (excuse the pun) by the flying sequences as much as I wanted to be. The most impressive sequence to me was actually the 'flying ballet' with Lois, but aside from that....the other elements of the film outside of the flying were more impressive imo.

^Cool trailer. The scenes fit perfectly with the Luthor monologue from "Superman: Doomsday" but they could have done a lot more with Doomsday, maybe mix in some "Smallville" clips instead of the old 'Photoshop the Hulk' trick.
Their Batman 3 trailer was not near as impressive, which is really making me want to do my own version. All these lame attempts on YouTube are going to force CommanderCourage out of retirement, haha.

Watched Superman Returns for the first time in almost two years today!
It's funny, the things I like about the movie...I like them even MORE now. Routh in particular is just magnificent. Langella is great. Huntington is arguably the finest live action Jimmy Olsen of all time. I still think Spacey was a perfect Lex, but unfortunately, Lex didn't have an awful lot to do.
Still love the opening credits, and the new Krypton explosion. Favorite moment in the movie is still when Supes tows the boat out of the water, and then lets it go. The shot of him descending into the Fortress right before he discovers that it's been violated is a close second. Probably the most iconic shot in the whole movie.
The superfeats are a treat. It's great seeing Superman using multiple powers at once, and doing it effortlessly. I love the sequence with the news reports of his busy night. Something right out of Bronze Age Superman comics, where he would periodically appear to be everywhere at once, and no job was too small for Superman.
But...the things I don't like, are even more glaring now. Bosworth is distractingly bad as Lois. I don't buy any aspect of her character, be it crusading reporter or tough single mommy. Not for a second. I dislike the presence of Jason, but the kid isn't Jake Lloyd levels of annoying.
I still think the first 15 minutes of the movie are a brutal mess, and need a drastic re-edit. Despite its flaws, it's still fun, and very watchable. I'm prepared to move on, though. I've accepted the total reboot, and I'm resigned to the loss of Routh. A damn shame...

Mikey, you're gonna shit your pants when Krypton explodes. The BluRay's 5.1 is out of this fucking world. Maybe one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard on a home theater setup.
