Saw the trailer for MOS in an actual IMAX 3D theater. I thought I was going to lift off the goddamn seat. It was AMAZING. This movie better kick some ass.

This is fantastic... 30 second TV spots THREE MONTHS out mean that WB is beyond confident in this movie.
We got SR tv spots, what, 2-4 weeks beforehand?

As soon as Iron Man 3 is out the way, Man of Steel will be everywhere!!! After Iron Man 3 has had its opening weekend / week, WB is sure to open up on the floodgates on 6 weeks of major publicity around the globe and a huge build up towards June 14.
I'm hoping there'll be midnight previews on 13th!

Hey there was something new in that trailer!!
We never actually saw Clark's face as he said 'Where do I come from?' in the other trailers.
That jumped out at me, which tells you all you need to know about how many times I've watched the official and comic-con trailers ;D

this, i think, is the fellow that russel crowe mentioned afew weeks ago:
In an interview with Collider, Legendary Pictures' Thomas Tull shares his thoughts on the upcoming superhero epic Man Of Steel after seeing a rough cut. As expected, he offers nothing but praise for the Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot and its cast. He then says that people will likely be excited by it as well, and that it's a "privilege" for Legendary to be involved with the film as well as Warner Bros.' recent Batman films. "It’s the Superman movie I’ve always wanted to see. I think the job that Zack Snyder did along with Chris Nolan- I think that people are going to be very, very excited about the results. The acting, on top of all the incredible action- Kevin Costner playing Jonathan Kent, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, just the cast, and I think the job Henry Cavill did, people are going to really be excited about it. It was a privilege to be a part of and Warner Brothers does a phenomenal job of bringing these things to life, Batman and Superman, and it really is a privilege for us to be a part of."
Arguably the biggest desire for Man Of Steel is to deliver an action-packed Superman, which unfortunately has yet to be shown on the big screen. When asked if Supes will punch someone in the face in the film, Tull had this to say. "I can tell you that I think you’re going to enjoy the movie very, very much."

I'm going into this movie with an I don't give a shit attitude cause I honestly don't give a shit. If it sucks, no big deal. They'll make another one in a few years. If it's good, cool. It'll be a nice surprise. I'm not gonna let any hype get to me after the disappointment of SR.

I wasn't disappointed by SR at the time. I loved it. Though it is fading fast on me now.
I hope MAN OF STEEL, on the other hand, is not only a good or great film, but one that will sustain its popularity over repeat viewings and new generations for years to come - is that too much to ask? !!!
If the movie is now complete, I reckon reviews will be out early, perhaps mid to end of May. And if there is already a buzz about this movie, WB or other studio insiders know that it's good (better than SR) and are anticipating a huge hit (i.e. $1 billion minimum).

So far, so good. There is a buzz. It's not huge but there is one. It'll probably ramp up.

they're staying outof the way of IM3 and trek2, if the trailer is on either or both that will be huge on its own as those will be very successful.
once im3 is out for a week the TV spots and trailer3 placements will be all over. the cast will be sent out (again) to the latenight tv circuit.

In other news, Christopher Nolan has cast---surprise, surprise---Anne Hathaway in Interstellar.
Nolan casting an overrated, average looking chick?
Naaaah.

@ jack /kev-
I think people will come out of it with a little more than they brought in. There's so much anxiety over wb/dc and after superman returns and green lantern there's a lot of trepidation. Plus the sore-winners in the robert downey cult are chomping at the bit to salivate over another "fail".
So its either:
A) hate for hates sake. "It was terrible...I hate hack snyder (even though I have 3 versions of watchmen) I hate nolans realism (I saw tdkr at midnight) it was bad...even though t he cast was good, and snyder was diciplined as if nolan approved everything...and the $ was all over the screen...and well it wasn't tom welling or routh or armie hammer or cj corona so...cavill....pffft! Where's my tampons?!"
B) even handed. "I was hoping it'd be good and it was good. I liked it. Some parts were cool other parts I didn't like. Neat how they seeded bits for follow ups without puking on themselves over it".
C) unrealistic fanboy apologist. "Zack snyder is the michelangelo of film....goyers is sheakespeare...who the heck is superman? Anyway I saw 'man of steel' and I met jesus christ...his real name is henry cavil'

There's definitely a level missing between your B & C. I don't by any means think Synder and Nolan are the Anointed Ones, but I do feel this movie has just been good decision after good decision, and you can trace my posts back--I've said that since the first casting rumors. I'm one of the most jaded, cynical, and all around old-man-in-32-year-old's-body grumpy a-holes around--yet I've just felt in my bones that this movie is going to be first-rate, every step of the way. If it turns out that way, I'll be elated. Doesn't make me an apologist nor take away any of Snyder's past misfires.
