We may all be surprised. I remember, I used to think no-one could ever be as good as 007 as Sean Connery was in Dr No/FRWL. it was unimaginable. But then Timothy Dalton did the unthinkable in 1987 and was actually better than Connery. And so is Daniel Craig for that matter. i still don't think anyones topped Connery so I never got that feeling. I suppose it can happen, but I'd be shocked, if he's half as good as Reeve I'll be delighted. |

He was great The count of monte cristo.
Never seen The Tudors but from all accounts he is brilliant in that. Haven't seen immortals either but I heard he's great in that and has a presence anyway. So the signs are certainly good.
One things for sure, he really looks the part, and what we've seen so far is so encouraging.

What I find fascinating is that Reeve and Cavill look pretty different from each other, yet both look perfectly like Superman. It's weird!

He looks majestic  Could he end up being even better than Reeve? I think no matter how great he is, Reeve will always be "The" Superman for most of us here. For me, I don't ever see anyone topping him. |

I like/liked Dalton and Craig, but their intepretations of Bond are so different, and they just give off such different vibes from Connery, that few seem to agree which is the best Bond.
(For me, Connery was the best, followed by Pierce and Dalton.... Craig is ok, but he feels very 'one-note' to me.)
I really like what I see from Cavill in the clips so far, but it is premature to start really comparing his performance to Reeve's. I know I keep bringing up those initial promo shots that look different, but they really are night and day from the stuff we're seeing now.

True about the STM and MOS poster representing the same idea... I just wish that they didn't feel the need to highlight the 'Nike' overlay on the 'S'. The texture and color of the new 'S' already shows it's a new take on Superman. I haven't been this excited over a movie in a really long time... Maybe TDK? There is so many questions and anticipation. I know everyone creams over The Avengers last year, but seriously the big draw to that film was getting several already successful characters together in one movie to fight bad guys and blow shit up. Not a knock on that film, but that's all it was. Any capable director should have been able to handle that. I knew what I was getting going into that... This... FUCK! We still don't know exactly how this is going to play out, this is exciting! We live in a world where most films are spoiled months before release, either by internet leaks or stupid marketing choices by the studios. I'm pumped! I cannot WAIT! What type of changes are they really making to character? Will this have Nolan's handprints all over it? Or will it be a typical Synder video game fest? I hope I get press passes to this one, just so I can come on here a gloat  |
