Actually though, I may wait till Saturday when I have tickets to see it with all my friends. Isn't it weird? Waiting all this time, and now I want to put off seeing it even longer because I don't want it to be over.

I honestly feel kinda bad for Routh. He's already appearing at those Superman Conventions with the other people that no longer have careers. That just suuucks. I mean, he wasn't amazing or anything, but yipes, he was JUST Superman, and now he's nothing. Also:  Boy, what were they thinking getting such an old plain Jane to be Lois Lane? Mane? |

I've officially embargoed all new TV spots and trailers. No clips, no interviews, nothing. I've been clean for the past few days and I'm gonna stay that way. I can't believe I'm truly walking into that movie theater not knowing a goddamn thing that's going to happen.
Boys, what a wonderful time this is. This is why we all know each other. This is why some of our lives have literally been changed. I can't express how excited and delighted I am about all this.

Amy Adams is gorgeous, and if any of you have watched any of her interviews so far she's even more attractive when you hear her be herself. Know what you mean Rob, after all the build up, I don't really want that to be over. I can't embargo myself from anything, I could lie and tell myself I will, but every time something new comes out I can't click the link fast enough  As for Routh, he seems like a top guy, and it is a shame to an extent, but with pretty much no experience he got to play Superman, and get paid handsomely to do so, so I won't shed too many tears. |

I've seen nothing since... no trailers, commercials or interviews of any kind. Kev, Val, EB and myself are doing a screening on Tuesday in NYC... To say I'm excited is a bit an understatement. I still have my doubts and reservations about the film, but I'm hoping they'll be instantly squashed once the film begins! |

I feel bad for Routh because with Superman being his first big role, he's typecast. It's not like he hasn't tried to do different things. He played a gay nurse on a sitcom recently (the show was shit and he played second fiddle to a couple of douches and the hot chick from One Tree Hill). But, he was that one Superman that wasn't very good, which is the thought likely running through the head of casual moviegoers and TV watchers who don't give a rat's ass about Superman. Maybe he can radically recreate his image later on. He's still a young guy, and plenty of people get to do something completely different later in life, even as actors. I think I've mentioned it before, but look at Hugh Laurie. Guy was typecast as the "funnyman" lesser half of Fry and Laurie, then 20 years later he was House.
But I doubt it.
Edit: I changed my mind. I don't feel bad for the guy. If I were in his place, I'd be happy as heck. I got a shit load of money to be in some silly movie. I got a hot wife. I started a family. I get to do what I love and don't have to work a lowly, real job. I could keep milking these stupid conventions for every penny I could get, because no matter how much fanboys say they hate me and the movie, they'll still show up to get my autograph and picture just because I wore tights and a cape. No, I wouldn't give two shits about Superman or his fickle fanboys on message boards. Why the heck would I be sad or upset?

I won't be able to sleep Monday, probably. I meant the teaser that came out in the Fall, not the one from last summer. It was the one where Lois asked what the "S" stood for... but I barely remember it now. It's funny, but the other day I treated myself to a double feature of Star Trek and Iron Man 3 (I hadn't seen either) and for both, I had to walk out of the theater when the "Legendary" logo came on the screen, covering my ears to avoid seeing or hearing anything. I basically have a no trailer policy for any film I actually care about seeing, they just give away too damn much and kind of ruin certain moments for me. There used to be an art to trailers, but that's all out the window now. Some trailers give you the who damn movie in two minutes. I now keep it to teasers only, which are mostly pretty safe. I just want my first viewing to be special and have visuals unfold in the context of the actual film... not some trailer thrown together by a marketing department. But yeah, seeing it with you guys is really going to be something special. I don't think it's fully sunk in for me yet. It's the reason we all know each other and have been friends all these years. This kind of opportunity has never presented itself before, so to be able to share this experience with you guys is really unique and special. |

Initial reactions i've read are in the main, extremely positive, but then you have a few people in the industry with cryptic tweets which seem to suggest the reason there is an embargo is because it sucks! I don't know what to think, the sooner you lot see it and give us feedback (spoiler free) the better.

Just watched the latest trailers/TV spots/etc. Still yet to be interested in the film. The action sequences looking like a video game doesn't help, either.
