Hmmmmmm.....prob an error! However, Batman, Superman & Green Lantern movies around the same time? Could this be why Nolan is 'Godathering' Superman? Make him more ground to suit his Batman universe? However, Lantern has the opposite look of Batman so who knows! www.supermanhomepage.com/news.php?readmore=9479Edit: Could it be Smallville TV Movie?

Reinventing Batman? Nolan producing? Bah, that's got to be BS.
But hey, once TDKR is in the can, WB is free to mess up Batman again all they want.

I heard the same thing last year from a friend in L.A., evidently the plan is for Nolan to wrap up his story in 3 films. He would continue to produce the series, but a slight "revamp" would occur with new casting and a different director(s). Basically, the bond approach. Batman's world has been created, he will be the "seasoned" Batman by the time TDKR is over.

The word "reinvent" is way to extreme in regards to what they are planning.

Looks like this is actually happening - the Batman reboot, anyway. New series direction, with Nolan sticking around as producer. Sounds familiar....something that happened forever ago.
Like I said before, Nolan's three movies will be in the can. Do whatever you want WB. It's for the best anyway. Someone else following up on the three movies directed by Nolan just wouldn't have been as good. Maybe they're following the direction that Spider-Man is going.

As long as it's not a new origin or a complete reboot, I'm fine. Batman SHOULD be like Bond. Change actors every few movies, but you don't have to annihilate the whole franchise.
Quite frankly, I'd welcome a SLIGHTLY lighter take on the character. A hint of color in the suit. A batmobile that's a cool roadster and not a tank. A boat. Robin. Let Bats get laid every now and then.

It's a different situation, Burton was credited for Batman Forever, but other than some early work on the plot and giving the ok for Schmacher to take over he was gone from the film. The producer credit was basically a thank you. I don't think WB wants anything drasticly changed for the Batman series, it's just that Nolan and the rest of the cast are probably done after 3. If Nolan is staying on as Producer he won't let things get as far out as the Schmacher films did. We can hope....

I find it odd that they're already talking about the next next Batman movie when the next one won't be out for over a year.
I guess WB doesn't care because they know TDKR will make 150M+ in its first weekend and another 500M+ no matter what.

Yes! Just give me a yellow oval, and a LITTLE contrast between the suit and the cape/cowl, and I'll be happy. Just a touch.

If they go for a separate JLA continuity like they were planning with JL: Mortal, I hope they put Routh back in the tights. BRING ROUTH BACK for JLA!From twitter.com/brandonrouthcom : WB wants a Justice League movie in 2013. We want Brandon Routh back as Superman. Saddle up! #BringRouthBack...

I'd love it but it's so NOT going to happen. Sadly. Now, gazer, I know you from the BRB campaign...You must dig down deep and light that flame that used to burn so brightly. The first step in getting Routh back in the suit would have to be confirmation that the JL movie is it's own continuity, as I stated before. This bit came out today, from Snyder: "HeyUGuys asked Zack Snyder the very question of his upcoming take on Superman.. ‘It doesn’t. Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I’m doing with Superman, what they’ll do with Justice League will be it’s own thing with it’s own Batman and own Superman. We’ll be over here with our movie and they kinda get to do it twice which is kinda cool’"(source) comicbookmovie.com/fansites/rorschachsrants/news/?a=34168Light a candle. It's time to Bring Routh Back.

Interesting. Of course I'd LOVE to see him playing the character again on the big screen, but only if the script is decent and if Superman has a good part. Otherwise, NO thanks.
Any way, I won't be obsessing about it. If it happens, great, if not, oh well, Superman is not the only role in the world. Also, WB know what Brandon can do and his potential, so if they want him they know where to find him.

My take ... JLA won't happen until 2014 or 2015. WB needs to leave the 2013 tentpole option for Superman. I know that Christmas 2012 is the target, but that was the deal with Star Trek 09 as well.
I say Bats in '12, Superman in '13, JLA or something else for '14.

i'm all for it. but there was a teeny-bopper-twighlight-esque JL movie proposed a year or two ago, that, mercifully was aborted. then later, a different progect was bandied about to have a JLA movie WITHOUT superman and batman- -wonder woman -flash -green lantern (not part of the martin cambell franchisde- unless thats changes) -martian manhunter -aquaman ( aw, c'mon! ) ....now if WB wants to add supes and bats that might help the box-office, but i don't think by a whole lot, because it would not be THE batman (ie nolan's batman) it would be a batman-lite, RIGHT AFTER nolans batman3 and before the batman 4, which would make 3 batman leads in as many movies. it's one thing to have a character going in a film series, tv series and a cartoon simultaneously, but to have TWO film series at the same time withthe same character but not connected? thats a bit much for the average movie goer. imo. i mean, i'd take it if they said "earth2... lets get routh to be superman"... but i just don't see it. i don't see two film series witht he same characters...

Lemme tell ya, that previous JL movie was practically IN production when it got canned. There are photos of the actors in costume. Props were made. Sets were built. I REALLY wanna see some of those photos.
