That would be incredibly brilliant. I would be on the floor in an induced state of euphoria and paralysis if that happened. Batman: Who... What... Are you? Superman: A friend. BOOM. JUSTICE LEAGUE. 2015. man, that would be so easy to be done, effective and marvellous that wb probably wont do it.

Having Superman save Batman from getting nuked would be perfect.

If they're going to go that route, then they'd better be prepared to answer where Superman was during the months-long siege of Gotham, and why he did nothing to prevent a nuclear disaster.

Wow, all this positivity and enthusiasm when there's nothing from them to show for it.
It's like I stumbled into an Obama board.

Why so down on this, Paul? Is it because of it continuing the story of TDKR? I'm not the biggest fan of Nolan's take on Batman - and I'm not coming from a "I prefer Burton" approach... ...truly, my ideal Batman film hasn't been made yet. The only reason I buy into Nolan's movies at all is that he did do his honest take on Batman. It was uncompromising and the story and resolution of his Bruce Wayne (as a man) was something I will give him loads of credit for. In short, gaping plot holes aside, his is a self contained work of art. I also view them as the cinematic equivalent of an Elseworld novel. The idea of bringing Bale back worries me for a few reasons. Nolan has always put art first (while giving good business to WB). This news seems totally motived by business and not art. WB have shareholders looking at Disney saying "WTF!" so they are kneejerking and going down the "safe" route. I want to see more Batman films. Proper BATMAN films. Not "realistic" Elseworld Batman films. Not psuedo-Batman characters (Blake) in roles others should have. By not starting fresh and building on Superman for this cinematic DCU, I don't see how proper BATMAN films will get a chance...at least not for another 10 years. same here, but nolan got me closer than any live action version so far. frankly- its never as good as "B:TAS". i swear to you my friend, a properly rendered live action of "the mask of the phantasm" and "clayface" would seriously rock peoples minds. they would also keep batman movies at the billion dollar bench mark.

And another thing...if this is the start of more Bale Batman films - no Joker. Guarantied.
If there won't be more more Bale Batman films and this team up is only for JL...then what's the point in any of it.

The point?
To watch the JL kick ass.
What else?

There had to be a plan beyond 1 film though. I fear there isn't.
What might that lack of planning do to future MoS sequels? Who knows.

It's too soon to worry about pesky details, such as what to do for JL 2 when we don't even have a JL1 in the works yet.

As someone who wants a World's Finest film, an unfortunate byproduct of Bale as Batman is no Joker. With Nolan involved, recasting is off the table with that character, which leaves out one half of the super villain team-up equation. Ironically Ra's al Ghul would be a great villain for a Batman/Superman team up, he's global enough in scope to warrant both heroes' attention, but Nolan's already killed him off (and his daughter for good measure). Unless they're finally going to introduce lazarus pits, which I sincerely doubt.
I know a lot of people would find Lex Luthor alone an underwhelming threat, but when done correctly (which has yet to happen on the big screen), Lex can be a formidable opponent worthy of the World's Finest's attention.

And btw UF, I agree with Kevin. If your suggested post-credits scene DOESN'T happen, I'll be damn disappointed. Well done.

Please. Relax.
I repeat:
In the world of nolans' batman there is no superman.
In the world of nolan/goyer/snyder superman there will be a batman. A different batman.
Both wb and marvel films/tv have used a shared universe.
Wb is about to unload- the MULTIverse.
Nolan will be quality control- goyer the story rudder and snyder the associate producer/director.
Man of steel's follow up will be man of steel II. AnD worlds finest.

It should be Nolan's Batman.
What, you want ANOTHER origin story?

If they're going to go that route, then they'd better be prepared to answer where Superman was during the months-long siege of Gotham, and why he did nothing to prevent a nuclear disaster. All they would have to say is that Superman couldn't risk getting caught and Bane would trigger the nuke and also they could say that the truck holding the nuke was lead lined so he wouldn't have been able to find it.

Man of Steel should have a post-credits sequence that takes us back into Dark Knight Rises... We see Batman flying the bomb out to sea, but Superman tears open the cockpit and pulls him out. It would finally explain how he could have possibly survived. I'd buy that for a dollar!

According to Jett on the BOF Facebook page, "The CBM story is pure bunk." I trust him more than any of these other so-called insiders.

Having Nolan in charge of Justice League is a smart business move. His name is so recognisable now. A lot of fans worship the guy. The bigger audience know his brand.

They just keep slapping his name on shit he has NOTHING to do with, outside of saying "Yeah, put my name on the poster & then pay me, bitches."
BRILLIANT! ;D
Here's the funny thing about all of that:
Most fanboys are smart enough to know he's not really involved at the creative level.
And the people who are just going because it's popular, don't care or know the name of any producer or director. It means nothing to them.
;D ;D ;D
