you're as much a fanboy as anyone. That's why I was laughing. What's a better judge? A much smaller community dedicated to one rendition of Superman, or a large community dedicated to comic books as a whole? I think you know. Manipulate my words, twist and turn as much as you like, deep down you know when you're talking BS. Anyways I've got stuff to do, so carry on A larger community of even BIGGER less concerned for quality NERDS? LOL! Really, Kris. Those two things cancel each other out. It ain't the real world. If I'm a fanboy I guess I aint as bad as some. Expensive (yet plastic looking) special effects and Snyder's big muscular man fetish aint enough to impress me when it comes to movies. Sorry, Kristy. . I'm not a Hypster that jerks off to how big Cavills pecs look in his rubber onesie because I slavishly want it to look just like a drawing. "If I'm a fanboy". It's cute that you think you might not be. Let the rage out, but try not to go off on tangents, it makes you look flustered and even more desperate. Again, looking forward to Snyder's Superman being back on the big screen

Feel the rage I believe those are what you would call excuses. I'm so glad Superman will be back on the big screen soon The rage of the WB execs who blew it because they threw their best shot at a Superman movie that didn't even outgross the now 11 year old Spider-Man. Easy to feel with them tripping over themselves to clean up Snyder's ass drippings that some people call cinema. Superman will be back on the big screen...being Batmans sidekick / bitch. The only excuse Krissy was that excuse of a movie the Zachster conned people with.

Again, looking forward to Snyder's Superman being back on the big screen I'm not the one defending the excitement from the director of Sucker Punch and Owl movie, Krissy. I'm definitely not the one scouring some specialty site on the freakin Internet and trying to pass it off as more exemplary of the real world. Just any old Superman movie doesn't impress me so I guess I'm not as big a fanboy as some. Punching doesn't equal good writing and directing no matter what you hear Kristoph.

go on tell us. Just trying to calm you down. I'm perfectly calm, Krissy. I can't believe you're using this pitiful smear tactic. How Internety of you. Hopefully you aren't going to try to cyberstalk me.

There's no tactic here, you just need to calm down a bit. I couldn't stalk you, I think you're just about the only member of the forum whose real name I don't know! I was merely interested to find out what you did for a living, no harm

I'm quite calm. Kris...do you have Cavills balls in your mouth right now? I'm not judging you if you do. It's the 21st century. It would just explain why you're so overprotective if he's your kind of man (of steel).

Shane comes out from behind Kris's pant leg to chime in! Didn't see you jumping in when someone asks how calm I was. . That's "resulting" to what you're taking about. How is asking a question and insult?

lol metallo resulting in petty insults now Wasn't hard to reduce him to a slobbering mess If recent posts tell you anything it's that it's more about a resentment of Snyder, to the point where there's no way he could be objective about one of his films, his tip toeing around Pacific Rim's short comings will tell you this, if Snyders name had been on that film he'd have been tearing it to shreds If he thinks I'm being overprotective of Cavill I don't know what you'd call his infatuation with Nolan. He surely dreams of having his orifices filled in a Nolan-Whedon sandwich

Kittens people, kittens!
And I'm pretty sure that even AFTER the world engine is destroyed earth was in considerable danger - what with zod swearing up and down he was going to kill every human out of spite unless superman killed him.
That's no time for supes to give a "good citizen" p.s.a.

I got that, too--- just wish it was done in a smoother fashion. On another note- I hope you were right about an extended cut for MOS being inevitable. It's been stated (I think it was Snyder's wife, but I don't trust memory on it) that originally there was a 3-hour cut. Outside of "Alexander" and "Watchmen", does anyone know if WB has been generous in granting extended cuts?

Im sure WB in all their greed merchandised something like that. C'mon guy you know I've been pretty objective over the film. I pointed out PRs shortcoming before anyone on this board. You'd better tiptoe around Cavills long comings after you polish him off. Even you must remember I said I want Nolan off these films because he's doing nothing but collecting a paycheck. Nice try though.

That's no time for supes to give a "good citizen" p.s.a. How's that supposed to stop him from helping people again? Zod was such a threat but he had time to make out with Lois Lane? That's why this idea of urgency causing him to ignore things because of Zod falls apart. And he didnt seem concerned with buildings literally being pulverized and falling on the street yet he makes an effort to save one family who just happens to show up like the most blatant plot device ever. It's inconsistent all over and you can see the wheels turning in Snyder and Goyers heads to justify that ending. It doesn't flow organically.

So... I've been watching the 'new' Superboy season 3 (only saw an episode or two when it first aired)---
And I have to say that I'm pleasantly suprised that it's as entertaining as it is. It has SOME romance with Lois and Lana, but it doesn't go overboard as Smallville did. One of the main reasons I'm finding it as entertaining as I have I think lies in Gerard Christopher's performance.
I remember reading somewhere that Ilya said that if he couldn't get Reeve to do Superman V, that he would have had Gerard Christopher, and that Gerard wouldn't have had to be pushed too hard to accept the role.
Maybe it's the fact that there's this fearlessness of having the actor actually wear the costume from the comics, but the more episodes I see, the more I find myself curious about what that Ilya Salkind-produced Superman V film would have been like, with Gerard Christopher in it.
I don't know if he's my favorite Non-Reeve Superman yet, but it seems like he should have earned a slot in this poll....

Even more interesting a story for the guy if he really did get screwed out of the lead role on Lois & Clark. It would have been odd since it was a different continuity but its not the first time that's been done with the same actor playing the same part in two unrelated productions.

How about Ben Affleck playing George Reeves?
That scene in which he's taking a swig from a flask and cutting up with two drunken cowboy actors in "Hollywoodland" is a riot.

I liked him in the movie but it was odd to watch him in the suit because of how Kevin Smith used to say he'd be a good choice for Superman. And later on Affleck did kinda sorta get play Superman.

I need to watch all these Superboys. Christopher was great in them and I remember them a lot of silly, unpretentious fun - with genuinely good take offs/landings and flying (more realistic than MoS in fact)
Its a pity Smallville was too heavy at times and repetitive. Lana Lang ruined that show for me more than anything. Have an unlikable leading lady played by a bland actress and you're in trouble.
