How did you like the way this was handled?
As Kal El's first "super rescue" of the movie, was it what you hoped for? Or were you expecting more ?

I thought it was ok. One of the better parts of the movie and Clark acted like a real hero. much better than the messy piece of shit battle over Metropolis

I had no issues with it, and enjoyed the sequence.

Very cool.
One of the cooler aspects about the "clarks journey" act of the movie was the way he was creating sort of an urban (or perhaps rural?) Legend. Kind of like bill bixby's hulk/banner. Except superman eventually goes public and high profile.

I liked it. It was small-scale, it was 'grounded' in contrast to the gigantic scale of the Metropolis fight. The first half interested me. The second half bored me.
I think the movie lost me after Jonathan died to save a dog.

A shame this Superman didn't have a 20th of Bixbys Banners character, depth, or humanity.

2 hours of running time vs 4 seasons of a show...
Yeah. Cavil had that much room.

2 hours of running time vs 4 seasons of a show... Yeah. Cavil had that much room. I'm pretty sure it went five seasons and Bixby pulled it off in ONE pilot movie. Who said anything about him needing four seasons? What a fail of an excuse on your part. "Married" is another one. Pick any ONE episode to compare to the twice as long MOS and Bixby is better. It comes down to the man and his talent and his insight

I'm not taking anything away from bill bixby. I adore him. That show was absolutely the most important thing to me as a kid.

That's the difference when you get a great actor with some range and not a plaster casting.

Cavill is a very good actor.
No one HAS to love the guy, or adore "man of steel"- but to suggest he's terrible is hyperbole. Laughable really.

To get the discussion back on track.
I'm torn about this scene, I liked it, but I also had this thing in my head beore I saw the film, that the first big rescue should be a REALLY big moment. But with the way they decided to structure it and use flashbacks it's fine and what I suppose I'd expect them to go for. But yeah, I liked the whole thing with him disappearing from the boat, ripping the door off engulfed in flames and then holding the rig up to allow the chopper to escape with the workers.

Once agin getting annoyed enough to our works in my mouth. I said he was plaster. Not the worst a for I've seen. But certainly not as great as some have said he was. Compared to some of he great portrayals of Superman he is plastic and cold. That's where he fell short.

I think you're projecting your own tastes on me, bud. It's the other way around. Maybe you get blinded by cliches and spectacle and call it good acting but I don't.

More accurately:
"Yay !! ATP/enrique made ANOTHER useless needless redundant thread- more MoS threads in 3 months than SII threads in 15 years! Goody! Now I can go in and say the exact same shit (copy/paste/post) and act like I'm offering something new!"

I liked the scene and its placement. I was glad to see the narrative jump a little than go with the usual straight chronological order. I liked the fire effect and how we saw the oil on his skin burn without hurting his flesh. Much better than him just walking through a wall of flames. I also liked that the first big rescue of the movie wasn't some overdone thing, but just another one of his rescues while he wanders the earth.

Like I said you don't like an opposing viewpoint so you get mad and cry like a baby. Who told someone else to shut up you or me? You can sing the praises on MOS til you're blue in the face. Difference between you and me is I don't care. I might disagree but I ain't gonna tell you to stop. Looks like the MOS apologists are the ones full of it. Same old shit every time where you moan about what you don't like to hear. Well sorry but get used to different opinions no matter how much they make your ass bleed out in rage.

As usual you are a hard line brainwashed extremist when it comes to EVERYTHING. makes no difference to me how many threads those guys make. I don't love em or hate em automatically. If they got something interesting to say then Ill participate. But they don't ruin my day. We've done a crapload of threads over and over so your exaggeration makes no sense. NOW you suddenly harp on it because its about film you bust many a nut over as soon as you get the chance. We've talked about the most minute stuff in these movies to death over and over in very short periods of time. You can push that hazy propaganda bullshit complaining about all these new threads if you want but it's a laughable example of you blowing something out of proportion to make it seem worse than it is. As usual.

Is that juvenile shit the best you got? Like I said you do childish crap like that because you have nothing else competent to say about the topic. How pathetic. Post another one like a good little predictable snot. Not surprised you've got your buddy's backside.
