Nothing but great buzz on this for the longest time.... story and execution looks exciting enough to maybe overcome all the behind the scenes. That would be nice if so... (Would have been nice to see Routh and Bale's face in there somewhere, though, too). But I'll settle on a good movie. Flashpoint the animated cartoon was pretty good (despite horrible visual style), hopefully the movie is pretty good, too....

I doubt they’re in it but even if they were somehow somewhere they wouldn’t give away cameos like that in the trailer. The trailer does look very good. I think it has the the potential to be a very good film. |

The first Joker was fascinating- but also so depressing, I never ended up needing to see it again. Not sure if I need to see a sequel, but open to it....

I think a sequel is unnecessary and goes against the spirit of the first and what made it so interesting but it made so much and cost so little and got critical acclaim. I can’t blame WB for making a sequel. |

That it's a musical makes me curious. If they really have something new to say or add, I'm okay with it... but... would have been more interesting to me if Joker 2 had the same team go deeeeeeeper and darker with Bruce Wayne. (So far, only Batman Begins & Dark Knight had the most characterization for Batman so far I think)/

Yeah I agree. It looks fun but I’m not sensing that it will be very successful. Like you said it’s not must see. They may have been better off leaving this one for HBO MAX. |

Yeah I agree. It looks fun but I’m not sensing that it will be very successful. Like you said it’s not must see. They may have been better off leaving this one for HBO MAX. Heard that James Gunn commented that Blue Beetle is part of his DC-Gunnverse... so that might help it a bit, but... It still looks like something too innocuous for me to rush to see in theatres. Plus- while I like the main actor here- I REALLY preferred the Ted Kord Blue Beetle, not the Keith Giffen created Beetle. |

After all the buzz and the long wait and Keaton's appearing.... getting a little TOO hyped up for the Flash movie. Hope it is GREAT and make up for so many underwhelming DC movies. (Shazam 2 was a good family film but it was not Civil War nor Endgame).

Depends on what they do with Lord so while it might not be the comic it might fit what James Gunn is doing. Pedro Pascall didn’t really fit Lord either. Have any of the actors that played him? The good/bad is that - with so much time passing from the version of Superman and JLA I would have loved to have seen from the comics.... I'm mainly curious on whether or not Gunn's version can get me to sit up and really notice- we've had bits and pieces that were nice on Superman post-Donner's version.... that I hope that Gunn's version is so exciting that it challenges Donner's version as a new 'best version ever' of Superman... for me. I think there's some truth to the fact that while I'm open to a new version--- there's going to be part that wants to stay with the classic or compare with the classic Donner Superman version. But--- based on what GUnn's been saying- it's very possible it stays in the same vein. I do think it's a little odd that other superheroes will also be present in the movie, but - again, just hoping it blows me away. |
