Come on, guys!
We need to mobolize! Superman IV needs to be released with all footage re-inserted! This fan edit is fantastic, and quite frankly, will probably become my go-to edition of the film.
And I think if we're all on this thread there's really no reason to go into how it's still not as good as the first two, blah-blah-blah...
But you know what? The movie was all the footage they shot. That's the script. Multiple versions of worse films have been produced. Christopher Reeve's last turn as Superman deserves no less!!
Let's get WB thinking about giving us the full monty. Nightclub, tombstones, and all!

Hi All; I took 3 days off work, feeling a bit down with the flu… So finally I got the chance to watch… ‘ SUPERMAN IV – THE QUEST FOR COHERENCE’ ...and boy am I pleased!!! Thanks very much Jim, adding in those subtitles really helped, some constructive criticism though, the comic book scenes of the Metro Club should have been single pics, only because I prefer this blokes, as I tried to focus at once on 2 or 3 pics while trying to read the script, then it changes a bit quick. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWF64hja_....752653D&index=5You did a great job Jim on the ‘Flying Solo’ love scene, you did a grand job! And I love how you combined all the Clark sick scenes together! It exceeded my expectations! Having the isolated score made the movie even better, that is the true version of the movie! Thanks to all who helped make this dream come true! An impressive 10 out of 10!!!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm also relieved the disc got to you. It seemed lost for a while.
I thought of doing single comic panes for the movie, but I like the widescreen effect by cutting the page into 3 sections. I wanted to maintain a 2.35:1 frame throughout. If you look at the rest of the pictures, you'll see that none of them are taller than the 2.35 frame of the movie.
If you're talking about the Jeremy meeting and Lacy's ending, it did get pretty quick. I was limited by the time lengths of the musical cues.

The subtitles were excellent, I meant the comic book pics were hard to read, because I’m trying to look at the pics – as well as read what they’re saying, but now I know why you chose to do it like that.
You also get bonus points for the Superman III flying shot!
An excellent choice which blended in perfectly with the following shot.
The scene was when The Man of Steel went to answer Jeremy’s letter in person.
I had no problem with reading the Subtitles… “I’m Sorry” – “Told You So”
Lacy’s ending was sort of quick, but again – no probs- I enjoyed it, probably more than any of the other movies I’ve seen – this one felt fresh and new!
Thank You!

What did you think of the opening scene in Smallville? Did the shots from STM and the photo work for you?

Thanks, man. It's been a couple months, and I'm surprised that the RARs are still available. I guess they're still getting hits, because I think after 30 days of inactivity, they're deleted. Very nice.

Thanks Jimbo for all the time and effort you've put into this. I can't wait to watch it!
One question though, how many gigs is the ISO file I will be burning? Just wondering so I know whether or not I need to use a dual layer disc to burn.
Thanks again my friend.

I finally sat down to watch Jim's edit yesterday. Its a shame we got the soundtrack before this cut as the music was the only real reason I used to watch this. So without that incentive, I could watch it more or less unbias - and what a pile of boring crap it is. Jim, I give you 10/10 for your efforts and this has got to be a definitive version (until anyone can improve on the sound editing; too bad WB inserted the soundtrack from STM and used that Bubble Bobble-esque music, which must have been a burden to get around.
I can see why the film was cut. I used to prefer the cartoony IV over the dreary III but now my opinion has changed.
A boring pile of shit that never gets its feet off the ground.
