The two special showings had a good crowd, but now that it's 'wide release' - not a lot of folks yet in my area from my views of the theatre- but then again.... in general the theatres close to me more often than not aren't packed.

Seems the film appeals most to Reeve fans, Superman fans, and documentary fans. It’s been getting praised but it’s got a somewhat narrow appeal as far as getting people to theaters. I think more people will check it out once it hits streaming platforms.

I have a membership to one of the theatre chains (a great deal relatively compared to solo ticket price) so I feel the flexibility in checking out documentaries now and then-but if I wasn't a Reeve-Routh only person then I don't know that I would have rushed to see this myself... I hope it does do spectacular business- but if something as good as "The Flash" (imo) can't bring out anyone to the theatres with a $200-300 million dollar budget- what hope does a documentary have? So, I totally agree- it's a fantastic film, but I totally agree- it has a niche audience appeal.

Not watched the film yet.....so don't know how far that goes into Reeve's final hours.......but this interview here does just that ....it's pretty heart wrenching but it's still something we can all identify with:

wow! Good for them on all the awards... though I would have thought best documentary, best director, best music as already a full sweep!

I loved it- but I did feel like it could have been longer and on some points it could have gone even deeper.... but, again, given how everything was mostly already known- it was a well shaped fresh experience. Saw it twice. Hopefully a blu ray will include extended interviews.
