Although I like that shot of her, I prefer ones of her in office type work clothes i.e. in a skirt and shirt for some reason.

www.supermanhomepage.com/news.phpIt was announced today at Comic-Con that the Legion of Super-Heroes is coming to TV’s “Smallville” in an episode written by current “Action Comics” writer Geoff Johns. Comic Book Resources reports that Johns’s script will remain true to Legion lore: "I think we're going to be able to stay pretty close to the origin of these characters," said Johns. "They are from 1,000 years in the future and they'll have flight rings and code names and everything else." According to Newsarama, Johns explained that: "It will be written to fit with Smallville, and I think it's going to be a really fun challenge to approach the Legion in a different way. But with me, you know you're going to see Legion rings, and they're going to be as true to the core as possible. It's going to be the Legion of Super-Heroes." Could be one of the best episodes EVER with Johns writing but you just KNOW they'll find a way to fuck it up. My God, they couldn't even get the JLA right!
They won't be called by their Legion code names and I'm sure they'll wear GAP cloths colored to match their costumes.

Well, Johns will be in full control of this one. I'm sure he's not going to attach his name to a project without him having full approval of the final product.

Johns work wont get treated the way it derves to be unless the ENTIRE show changes and they aren't goign to do that. It probably will be the best episode this series has ever produced behind Chris Reeve's appearances.
Johns SHOULD be writing Man of Steel. We all know that.

And all fans of the Donner/Reeve movies SHOULD be reading Johns' current run on Action Comics.

Wasn't Jeph Loeb an advisor on Smallville early on as well as writing some? We saw how that turned out.

Season 2 - 4.
I dunno, I've always liked SM. I know how others feel, though.

I thought Supergirl was handled fairly well. I liked Helen Slaters guest spots.

I think Green Arrow has been handled great. I'd love an ongoing Arrow series with Hartley. heck, they could even have him do that "Green Arrow Goes To Prison" flick, Supermax!

I forgot him. Green Arrow was the best "superhero" on this series. The guy is great. Better than Welling by miles.
I dunno if he'd be right for Supermax though. A big too young and too connected with Smallville. The Green Arrow movie should be a fresh slate IMO.
Give Hartley a spinoff ASAP though!

I pray this season is the last for SM. Welling will be 32 by the time the series ends. Hartley and Welling are the same age, I think he's a little older than Welling, but he still looks young, unlike Welling who's age is starting to show. I'm all for a GA spin-off. Might be a good move for the CW to make. I have a feeling this will happen, that's why the producers brought him in as a series regular. That and, well, you know.

Green Arrow always seemed older anyway so Hartleys age is no problem.

Johns writing a LSH episode of Smallville is great--- but I'm trying to temper expectations, given how much Smallville 'overadapts' things from the comics. Given how much Smallville has changed the Superman mythos- it'll be interesting to see how Johns tackles trying to 'save' what was originally there in the comics.
I doubt but would love it if they at least gave LSH costumes, if not Supes, there.

Ugh, I gotta watch Smallville again? Yeah, I know. But at least this is a concept I've been wanting for...well, since the show started.

Have they revealed that Darkseid was actually born in Kansas yet?

SEASON 8 UPDATE: Photo galleries of the first two episodes here: www.kryptonsite.com/odysseygallery1.htmwww.kryptonsite.com/plastiquegallery1.htmThis season's certainly going to be different with no Lex and no Lana. The pros and cons of both balance each other out though so neither makes things better or worse as a whole, just different. That said, I do have my concerns for this what should be Smallville's final season. I'm glad they're FINALLY moving Clark towards his future as a reporter, but in typical Smallville fashion they've found a way to screw it up. Last season Lois have him an application for the Daily Planet, which he refused. But guess what? Turns out he did it anyway and got a job, so now they're partners at the DP. So...um...I didn't think they were ALLOWED to to THAT! It's the equivalent of him becoming Superman, only the other side of the coin. Obviously he still has a long way to go at the DP, but still, he's begun his career there and that's something that usually goes hand-in-hand with him beginning his career as Superman as well. And while I'm THRILLED he'll finally be wearing something other than the red jacket/blue shirt combo, he's basically Clark Kent: Mild Mannered Reporter now...only without the glasses. How they expect to spin that I have no idea. There is hope though, for that particular criticism at least. There's an episode titled "Identity" coming which based on hints from the powers that be might finally start to establish the Clark Kent/Superman distinction. Of course people like Lex, Lois, and Jimmy have all seen him w/out glasses for years so it seems a bit late for that. The return of the Justice League and Oliver as a main character has my hopes up as well. The Lex situation is a tricky one, but regardless of how they handle it for now he MUST return for the series finale. ABSOLUTELY MUST. Finally, all this talk of Doomsday left me rather skeptical, but Geoff Johns (yes, THAT Geoff Johns) had this to say about it: I have to say too, that if they pull off where they're taking Doomsday...I mean, I didn't understand where they were going when they announced that Doomsday had a human alter ego. But it's freaking cool. As heck. And fans of the comics are going to be blown away when everything is actually revealed. It's really pretty spectacular."
Johns is also writing an episode called "Legion," featuring none other than the Legion of Superheroes. His enthusiasm has me excited: "They are absolutely, 100% on point with the Legionnaires and their relationship with Clark Kent. I can say you'll see an appearance by one of the Legion's better known enemies, but I can't reveal who just yet. More information to come when I can talk about it." MOAR FROM JOHNS! www.supermanhomepage.comwww.kryptonsite.comGeoff Johns posted a message over on the ComicBloc.com forums, updating fans on his progress writing an episode of "Smallville" for Season 8...
So as most of you know, I'm writing an episode of Smallville this year. I've already begun working with the Smallville executive producers and head writers - Todd, Darren, Kelly and Brian - and some of the staff - Bryan, Turi, Al and Caroline. They all rock. They've been super nice, super genuine people and they've welcomed me into their clubhouse with open arms. Working on Smallville has been some of the most fun I've ever had in my career.
I can tell you with confidence, the season they have planned is easily the most ambitious to date. There are so many twists and turns. And episode 10. Episode 10 is INSANE. My episode is now 11, so it's going to be a hard act to follow, but I'll give it my all. I have to say too, that if they pull off where they're taking Doomsday...I mean, I didn't understand where they were going when they announced that Doomsday had a human alter ego. But it's freaking cool. As heck. And fans of the comics are going to be blown away when everything is actually revealed. It's really pretty spectacular.
Also, the Legion? They are absolutely, 100% on point with the Legionnaires and their relationship with Clark Kent. I can say you'll see an appearance by one of the Legion's better known enemies, but I can't reveal who just yet. More information to come when I can talk about it.
"Smallville" Season 8 premieres in the U.S. on Thursday, September 18th at 8.00pm ET on The CW.This might be a good season after all. ;D
