[ I have to say I did dig that moment too. A pity I wasn't able to catch the beginning, I came 20 minutes late. Good Lord, I'm actually watching a season of Smallville. Have I been body-snatched and didn't notice? Traitor! ;D Me? Smallville has its moments, yes, but as a whole it's so full of gimmicks and bad storytelling that I stopped taking the show seriuosly long ago. They kept dragging it far too long. It is a melodramatic bore, imo.

Thanks, nolegs!
And I forgot to say that the best part of the series for me is Rosenbaum, by far, oh and I also like Mack aka Chloe!

They should have ditched Kreuk eight years ago. Let's be fair now. SEVEN years ago. She was fine in the first season. ;D

I wish she went with Whitney to that politically-correct-not-mentioning-the-enemy-in-Asia war, and got blown up, too. That would have been an awesome episode once you get past the 10 episodes of Clark moping. (Eh, not different than what we got anyway).
When Zod took over Lex's body and he stabbed Lana through the hand into a wall, I laughed gleefully. Anyone else? ;D

When Zod took over Lex's body and he stabbed Lana through the hand into a wall, I laughed gleefully. Anyone else? ;D O RLY? *very belated cackling* ;D It's kinda sad watching the new writers attempt to actually go somewhere after so many years of stagnation. There should have been character development from the get-go, not barely now. It's nice to see, but it just reminds me of the disappointment. Plus there's still Extreme Plot Holes of Doom, like how Clark could get a desk across from Lois with no college whatsoever. (Does he have any job experience either?) I suppose one can just not think about it and be grateful he's finally off his kiester, but it's still head-scratch-inducing. It's pretty obvious he was plunked down in there because it's loooooong overdue and there can't be any more time wasted in justifying how he can be there. Eh, fiction and logic are usually oil and water anyway. Yeah, Smallville is still not a truly satisfying show for me, but it's better so far, enough to make me actually tune in if I've got nothing else to do or watch. Do I bother to rush home or DVR it if I'm not around? Nah. ;D

We all know that Clark went to FOS University. At least that's what I've gathered from Superman: The Movie.

I guess being the "fastest typist he'd ever seen" is a big selling point.
Jor-El must have trained Clark on having a punchy prose style.

Teehee. ;D I've felt that one of the only ways Clark could get away with being hired on the spot with no college education would be to scoop Lois on a Superman interview, but that didn't happen in S:TM.

Lois and Clark's journeys to the Daily Planet on "Smallville" are both unrealistic/dissapointing.
Lois had no interest in journalism until they realized she'd been on the series for two years already and they needed to get her started on that eventually. So she got a job at the Metropolis Inquisitor (the "Smallville" equivalent to the National Inquirer) from a story she wrote about a barn door falling from the sky (Clark has accidentally blown it into the air while developing his superbreath). Then she got hired at the Daily Planet when the clone of Lex's dead brother (yes, you read that right) who Lex had helped become editor there overheard her talking to Chloe about a spaceship story she was going to write for the Inquisitor (it was about Kara's spaceship she'd found in the woods). He gave her the job for that article, but it was more about him having the hots for her, and they ended up hooking up. For the record, Lois had to retake high school classes at Smallville High, got into Metropolis University on a favor from Lex to Clark to get her out of Smallville, and got kicked out of Met U that semester for disorderly conduct.
Clark had always had an association with journalism through the Smallville High Torch, and the Perry White episode did a great job of setting up his future at the Daily Planet. After helping Perry through some tough times and impressing him with his character, Clark was told by White, "If you're ever in Metropolis, look me up." Unfortunately that's all been thrown out the window and Clark now has a job there b/c of an application that Lois gave him which he initially turned down but in fact submitted for reasons totally brushed over on the show. For the record, Clark graduated high school properly, and took a semester at Central Kansas A&M before dropping out after Jonathan's death.
Contrast all this to Chloe, whose life ambition was journalism, and her dream to become the top reporter at the Daily Planet. We saw her work hard through the years to earn her position the right way, ultimately getting a job at the DP after winning over a skeptical editor played by Carrie Fisher. It's unclear if she was taking college classes as well, but she was enrolled at Met U at the beginning of college. After working there for almost 3 years, she was fired by Lex last season as he was now the owner of the Daily Planet.
As I've said before, they've gone the extra mile to dismantle Chloe's character and give her life to Lois over the past couple of seasons, which is unfortunate considering "Smallville" could have told a much better story if she'd gone on to become the legendary Lois Lane. All the pieces were in place for that to happen, with Chloe even using "Lois Lane" as a psuedonym once.
But, I've come to accept the direction they've decided to take things and will jusy sit back and enjoy the ride. Season 8 is looking good so far!

Aww, poor Chloe. I saw a few episodes from last season, and I didn't like the way her character has been treated. They just want to get rid of her no matter what, but they should do it with respect, at least..

Uh....is it me or are they gearing up for Chloe to die? I call she turns into Doomsday. I hope they don't kill Chloe. Since she's not a character from the comics who has a set future, Chloe's always had a bit of a bullseye on her. It's not like they could kill off Lex, Lana or Pete. She's had fake-out deaths in two season finales now, which you'd think might force them to come up with something more original for her ultimate fate. That said, once she was given the healing/resurrection power and it was revealed Doomsday would be in this season, my guess was Chloe would die reviving Clark from a battle with Doomsday. But now that she doesn't have the healing power anymore there may be hope for her yet!

I think it's going to happen. It's been hinted at before. They might get rid off her, but I don't think it's going to happen until the end of the series. I read a spoiler the other day that points to that direction.
