Same greetings back- And glad to hear that season 5 is good..... I'm committed to finishing off the series, regardless, so that's nice to hear it might not be painful.

CAM, Well knowing you, I doubt you'll like it as much as me.. but I really feel like it's more enjoyable than S4 so far. ;D So I really liked the Brandon episode. It could even be a top 10 epi for me. It was VERY dramatic and tense and funny too in parts. It definitely had heart. Not every fan enjoyed it as much it seems.. the ep is REALLY dark.. but I've always liked the darker Chuck eps because I feel like those have the more meat. Hope you get to see it soon. Can't wait to hear your opinion. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was nice.

So the Chuck Season 5 DVD finally comes out next week: www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ChuckAre you buying, CAM? It's a decent season, IMO. I like it more than season 4. Easily. That season was too mediocre. Season 5 is more fun and has some real tension and stakes. I think Brandon's epi is classic Chuck. It's that good. It's probably his best performance in the entire series. Can't wait to watch it again (don't have DVR). Here is a really nice and emotional 'Thank You' to the fans featurette from the season 5 DVD: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jgr1eMnKPtM#

Yikes, I missed this post- sorry about that! Xmas was ok, thanks! I had to push myself through Season 4--- it just was drudgery going through it, compared to the awesomeness of Seasons #1-3.... Again, I'll credit Anne Coulfell Saunders--- who, maybe not coincidentally- was story editor for Smallville Seasons 9 & 10* *(Which were some of the best imo if you go in knowing that the big action won't ever pay off that they tease- great writing otherwise)--- it's more/less a reboot of "Lois and Clark"--- FAR easier to enjoy than many of the rest of the Smallville seasons (Which I started to go through sequentially, but got stuck/bored soon after season 1, then jumped far ahead to Season 9). Anyhow..... yeah, I will definitely buy season 5 & view that--- but uncertain if I'll wait for 'the complete series' package or just get the individual season (will see how finances are), but I'm glad if Season 5 is better than Season 4. I'll report on my view of the Brandon episode when I eventually get it....

You didn't like anything from S4? Not even Dalton?

The whole premise of Chuck being the amateur schmoe just died completely for me by the time they started S4.... and with that gone, nothing else really made all that much difference to me. Some neat guest casting, but boring stories that I just didn't care about anymore. Again, hopefully S5 redeems some of it....

I think the characterizations are better in S5, though Morgan is hard to watch in the first 3 eps.. but it gets better.
The ending is.. I didn't love it, but it was interesting.

I'm wary about S5 still.... but since I've gone this far, I am curious and know eventually I'll pick it up and see it, but the bad taste in my mouth in S4 makes me not in a rush to do it....
