nolans batman series was "crime thriller" with batman IN it. MOS is a SCI-FI epic, with superman IN IT. i........love this. the whole "alien signal/invasion" is the angle here. viral ads on billboards! check out the new version of kryptonese!   |

While chatting to Fastcocreate.com about working on new Starz series Da Vinci’s Demons, David Goyer also spoke about the movie that has everyone here on CBM blue (and red) with anticipation, Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel. The writer acknowledges the fact that many fans feel very possessive about the character, and want to see him interpreted in the best possible way. “We’re very aware, in the case of Superman, many people have possessory feelings about him but then there have been a lot of different iterations", says Goyer. "It’s no small thing to say you’re going to do Superman; but which Superman? Which era are you going to adhere to? Which elements are you going to adhere to?" There is no doubt that most people felt that Bryan Singer stuck too closely to the previous incarnation of the character with Superman Returns, so Goyer tried to take things in a different direction -- much the same way as he and Christopher Nolan did with Batman Begins.
"We’re in the same place we were at with Batman Begins. If you think about Batman Begins, there had been these previous iterations of Batman, the TV show, the Burton films. We were trying to do something that’s different. We were going against the tide. The public perception of Superman comes largely from the Donner films. Superman’s been preserved in amber since something like 37 years ago, and for the general public, he hasn’t really shifted since. Anytime you do something different, shake up the orthodoxy, you risk offending people. Superman has been reinterpreted many times over the decades, and if he is going to remain a vibrant myth, he needs to continue to be reinterpreted. Hopefully, that’s what we’ve done and people will embrace it.

I didnt see anything about the MTV awards ;D
I'm worried if we do get a trailer I won't actually be able to see it since I can't even see the static on the website unless I use my phone.
But someone on twitter posted a unique link for the static, which did allow me to see it. If it changes one of you guys can maybe post that up for me.

Eh... I'm not 100% sold on it... Zod sounds more like a lowly earthly terrorist than an otherworldly being with superhuman abilities. Shouldn't he have at least said "24 of YOUR hours?" or "24 Earth Hours?"
Beginning to question Shannon's casting, whom I thought was the one sure thing in all of this.

to be honest I didnt focus on it much because I was actually pretty gutted about not getting a trailer YET.
I need to see it all in the film itself, or at least in a trailer. I didnt get any Joker vibe though, thats the way Shannon sounds, it seems like every villain is now compared to the Joker, don't get it myself.
