what's crazy is that it's a 3 minute trailer, and I don't feel like it gave too much away. We still essentially know nothing

The music is truly amazing. It's a bit like the "Journey to the Line" music in the way it builds up, but it's even better. It has a kind of "otherworldy" feel to it somehow. I may even end up liking this more than the Williams music.  I wonder if we have heard the main Superman theme, or if there is still more to come.  |

Cavill looks amazing too. Compared to him Routh just looks bland and too young.
I really believe Cavill will the Daniel Craig of Superman.

Damn it, Jimbo beat me to it.
I was SO concerned that Cavill was going to be...kinda dour. But that little scene with him and Adams at the end just totally erased that. I was also concerned about his accent, which, if you saw Immortals (which sucked), you'll see it kinda came and went throughout the movie. Don't think that'll be a problem here.

Even Enrique has managed to look past Amy Adams being a forrest troll and has gotten on board!! Seriously, Amy Adams looks stunning at the end of that trailer. I'm going to burn out my laptop watching this again and again. She's a good actress and I'm sure she'll do great in the role. But I don't find her "hot". |

We still essentially know nothing as it SHOULD BE! none of this "synopsis" trailer nonsense, or EVERY major beat given away in tv spots every three hours! i mean, yeah we DO know "the story"- its the origin of superman, but the structure, script and plotting will all be a surprise. honestly- it will HAVE TO SUCK for me not to love it. its too beautiful, too many good ingredients. snyder will have to TOTALLY WHIFF for me not to love it. |

I love the slight nods to past films in the dialog and such... this summer will be epic w/ MOS, Star Trek, and even Tom Cruise has a cool looking film.

O boy, im not liking the music score at all, sorry. It should have given goosebumps...Actually, it gave me gas...
And i also hate the fact that his facial expression is showing he is struggling to hold up the bridges steel beam.....Hope snyder didnt make him to weak...

Totally sold on Shannon as Zod, too. That viral teaser clearly was done quickly and with no effort. The intensity and rage in his face when he screams, "I WILL FIND HIM!" is fucking bad ass. I LOVE Cavill's Superman voice. Like a lot. It's much deeper than I thought it'd be. I can hear his normal Kal-El/Smallville Clark voice in the trailer, it's definitely different than the Superman one. I REALLY can't wait to see and hear his Daily Planet Clark.
Everyone I talked to at work thought the trailer was incredible. Even people who don't care about Superman at all. I can't wait to see how this does. I hope it's huge. I hope it's the biggest superhero movie of all time. It won't beat the Avengers, but I'll take it beating Dark Knight or Dark Knight Rises.

His powers develop as he ages- he could be stronger in MOSII. -------------------------------------------- Y'Know this trailer makes the viral ads make sense! The overlap of teaser/trailer footage and the "I will find him" site all adding up. They have their ducks in a row here. Plus I'm reading all the product tie-ins that will have superman on every cereal box and cookie bag and so on in every house in the western world, a (not as big as mcdonalds) burger chain will have superburgers all over the midwest and south- magazine covers, trailers in front of the only 2 movies as big as this- Its ramping up. 2013: the year of superman ! 75th birthday in style! |

I honestly hope we get a weaker Superman in this. Make him just as powerful as he is in S:TAS and the old Fleischer cartoons. He wasn't a god. He was just a really fucking powerful guy. I want to see him struggle. I don't want to see him lift an island out of the ocean.
One of the main reasons people hate Superman is because he's basically a god. Make him less powerful and more relatable, and you get that elusive crowd that hasn't liked Superman since they were two.

If there is ONE moment as earnest and true as Superman saying, "Good evening, Officer...Mooney!", taking the time to see the cop's name, or saying, "Goodbye, Frisky. So long, now," which, honestly, is a travesty because I TRULY fucking love the deleted part, "Hey, now don't get mad at Frisky. You know what? We all get afraid of heights sometimes," well, then this movie will have done it right.
I will truly shit my pants if Superman does something as simple as helping an old lady cross the street or something REALLY cheesy like that because that'll show they got it. Superman IS cheese, and what is cheese? The greatest fucking thing on earth.
