I don't see how he couldn't. He managed to pull of lycra! I think Reeves skin and eye colouring were suited to the brighter costume. I am not sure if the darker colours would have worked as well for him. Cavill looks fantastic in that photo you posted. His bone structure and face contours are so different from other pretty boy actors of today. |

I wish we could have seen Reeve in that kind of costume, in terms of the materials used. He would have looked incredible.
I would love to be Cavill right now, I punched his name into twitter to try and get a flavour of what people made of him during the latest trailer, but if you want to get any decent feedback you'll have to sift through thousands of tweets of women gushing over him.

i hear echoes of john williams in the new score. in the part when he take flight especifically. it is mixed up but it is certainly there.  and there is definately something related to the drums too. that could be one of the reasons why i am not missing william's score and that is sweet. |

Catch the one shot where it looks like Lara is touching the Superman suit, but it has the Jor-El armor/ceremonial thing overlaid on it, but it's clearly the Superman costume underneath it??? Coming back to this, I've seen a few people suggest the suit was actually Jor-El's and that's how they'll play it out. So he'd basically be wearing his father's old armour. Would be interesting. Also, there is a school of thought that Zod actually kills Jor-El and when he's saying 'Do you think your son is safe?' that's him talking to Lara. If he DOES kill Jor-El it would certainly add an extra dimension to Superman's battle with Zod. |
