Russell Crowe took to his Twitter account earlier today to talk about how much he loves Man Of Steel and how Henry Cavill's life will change dramatically once the film is released worldwide. Crowe again praises his co-stars including Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner and says that Michael Shannon is awesome as Zod.
“Just contemplating how massive the change in life young Henry Cavill is about to deal with. @manofsteelmovie is excellent.”
“Thinking of @manofsteelmovie moments as I walked around today…that is the sign of a good film Zach Snyder, well done. Michael Shannon rocks.”
“Some of the things I liked about @manofsteelmovie, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, what a cast!”

crowe does not speak in hyperbole, he will not hesitate to be bored with a movie he is in.

i just realized there is no red sun in this krypton. or maybe there is more than one sun and we just havent seen it yet. nice pic of the elderly. not being afraid of ridiculous. masters of the universe+dune+xerxes+magneto+carnaval i'm wondering if that explains the color palette on the wardrobe? Jor is wearing the SAME suit- except its grey/black. also- i love how kitschy weird the counsel looks. very fruity. you can believe its all Jor can do to put up with these nutters.

Again, while yes, that's AWESOME, I need to hear that stuff coming from someone who isn't currently employed by Warner Brothers.

Ugh, why do they have to look so busy? With all that shit on there? Just put Superman and a line of text, don't paste all that other nonsense all over the place. Feh.

The problem I have with those kinds of designs is that it doesn't blend in with the color of the shirt. Less is more.

This is the same kind of design a Megadeth or even a Slayer t-shirt would have! I don't like that kind of t-shirt!

I don't mind the 2nd and 3rd ones.
The first one is ruined by having way too much on it though. Anyways I wouldn't wear something like that anyway.

Marketing for a younger generation who have been raised to have ADD or ADHD. The only way to keep these kids attention is to put as much shit as possible on the shirt.

They played the trailer before STID last night in the theater where I'm going to see MOS. The sound was fucking INCREDIBLE. This is going to be such a treat for our eyes and ears. Unfortunately, because of STID, I must now completely bring down my expectations to MOS ONLY being visually and aurally stunning. I can't think it'll be anything else now.

Yep. 24 hours ago I was convinced there was no way for MoS to let me down at this point. I felt the same way about Into Darkness.
Now I'm worried.

I don't think I could watch a Star Trek film and not feel like I'd been robbed of a couple of hours of my life! So that won't be an issue for me!

Jor. I've actually been told by friends STID is brilliant, it's just not my thing though and you'd need wild horses to drag me there.

Oh wow, I wonder if there's a Supergirl reveal setting up for either a Darkseid/"Apocalypse" sequel... or possibly Justice League movie?

Yep. 24 hours ago I was convinced there was no way for MoS to let me down at this point. I felt the same way about Into Darkness. Now I'm worried. Come on, it's not like you had high expectations for this to begin with. If it's going to disappoint you, it will disappoint you regardless of how much you think it's going to be good. Don't act like so jaded because of Star Trek Into Darkness, a movie that had a predecessor that wasn't particularly great to begin with.

Nah. I'm same as I was with regard to man of steel. I appreciate the "letdown" of stitd, but frankly it isn't better or worse than the last one. Big dumb fun. As to superman- well don't forget we started at the bottom of the bottom of the bottom. For most of us its been a slow steady climb up from absolute dread. I could not possibly go into "man of steel" with the unrealistic, doomed to deflation expectations I had going into "superman returns". It wasn't 6 months go- val was ready to settle for "iron man2" quality! So if "man of steel" is a glorified B movie- it is as good as we did not even dream of 2 years ago. Too tired to worry anymore frankly.

I had a few beers last night and I've obviously become a lightweight because I thought Kev and Val loved it and were lowering their expectations because nothing could stop STID ;D
I might have picked that up wrong, or maybe I just assumed because people I know who have seen the film really liked it!

I don't see a point in lowering my expectations based on "Star Trek Into Darkness." Different franchise, different filmmaking crew, different everything. Then again, I wasn't really let down by Trek 2 (or is it Trek 12?) because it's not one of my favorite franchises. It was a fun, dumb, popcorn flick. I got my money's worth. It has not dampened my joy for "Man of Steel."
