It's just RIDICULOUS how much Cavill looks like Superman. Not like Reeve. Like SUPERMAN. Amen.

Oh yeah, new trailer with Hangover 3!! It's only going to be 1:50 long. Which suits me fine since we've just about seen enough I think.

I say I'm done with the trailers, but I know I'll end up seeing it when it comes out. 3 and a half weeks to go.

So ... in this movie, it seems Kryptonian villains face off against the military in a small Midwest American town. What will you all think if there are very obvious references to that scene from II ? I'll squirm with delight.

So it's confirmed as 148 mins long.
Perfect - I was actually going to be disappointed if it was shorter, as there's no way we'd see enough of Superman in two hours.
But 148 mins is perfect - they obviously went for the 150 min max. limit for box office reasons, but I'm sure in that time and with all the setting up to do, the origin story and all the action we've seen in the trailers, this film will move along faster than a speeding bullet!

Yes. That is, actually, pretty damned perfect for a proper intro.

Superman Returns was 154 minutes.
I hear they wanted it to be the perfect length too.

Superman Returns was 154 minutes. You love to make comparisons to that movie. Even when it's not relevant. Considering the amount of footage we've seen and yet, not even know what's going on in this movie, I'd say 148 minutes runtime is a perfect length to soak everything in.

So, who here bought their tickets this morning? I got four and will be seeing it at the Regal theater at Pointe Orlando in 2D. I hope to make it back there for a showing in regular IMAX.

imagine that! MOS posters that don't suck! ;D (scan is blurry- pic is cool- too much lens flare) HILARIOUS tie-in promotion: Gillette Asks "How Does He Shave?" in New "Man of Steel" PromotionPrint Gillette Promotion How does Superman shave? If he is a "Man of Steel," impervious to nearly everything, what could possibly remove that formidable stubble?
Gillette is posing those questions in an unusually playful promotional campaign tied to the June 14 release of the new movie, "Man of Steel." It is part of a renewed effort by the men's grooming company to find new ways of connecting with customers.
Starting on Monday, Gillette will begin soliciting fan theories via HowDoesHeShave.com and rolling out related Web videos from five superhero enthusiasts: the director Kevin Smith; Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, hosts of the TV series "MythBusters"; the comedian Bill Nye ("the Science Guy"); and Mayim Bialik, real-life neuroscientist and "Big Bang Theory" actress.
Does he burn off that beard with his heat vision? Or maybe he just whisks his whiskers away with a puff of superhuman breath.
Fans will be asked to vote for their favorite theory.
"The idea is to bring the brand to life in new ways," said Elliott Wilke, Gillette's North American brand manager. "We are definitely the best a man can get, but the best Superman can get? We wanted to hear from the superfans."
Clark Kent is typically the cleanest of clean-shaven guys, but an early trailer for Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" showed him with various degrees of facial hair, including a bushy lumberjack beard, and then re-emerging with a smooth face. One of Gillette's ad agencies, Concept One, spotted that snippet and alerted Gillette, which in turn got in touch with Warner Brothers, Mr. Wilke said.www.supermanhomepage.com/news.php?readmore=13163

Just got a block of 12 seats right smack dab in the middle of the theater at the Arclight in Hollywood for Saturday night! All my friends want to see it with me, how cool is that?!
(There's a good chance I'll see it earlier in the week with my friend who works at WB as well)

Awesome. I'll probably have about the same. I remember when SR came out, I had like 20 people that came to see it with me just because of how much I love Superman.
Ah, the Arclight. That place ruled. I just hope it plays at the Ziegfeld here and not in 3D.

What's up with the blur effect? I mean they are just standing in place, why does it look like they are shaking side to side at 100mph?
EDIT: Ok nevermind, didn't realize it was a scan. Should have read that better.
