Is it just me or do y'all think something is going on with all this early Superman stuff coming out right now. Nic Cage photo, TWO scripts.. this is just weird....WB doesn't want this documentary to get made or something.

VAL! Red alert! SUPERMAN HOMEPAGE just posted a second draft of abrams "flyby" - never before posted.... HUGE! Thanks, Jor. Just gave it a few looks. It fixes one of the two MAJOR problems that everybody had with it. The other problem is still in place. Still, despite that problem, Flyby just reads so well. It would have been a visually stunning, tremendously entertaining Superman movie. And it's far from "Superman in name only." I still suspect that chunks of this will be very present in MoS.

WB probably doesn't want to appear like an ass shutting this guy down, what can they do? Steal his thunder by leaking the goods so he doesn't get funding. May or may not work.

If that's the case- then jj abrams has owned three of the biggest franchises of our lives! - star trek - star wars - superman

While not of the level of Star Trek and Star Wars, he is also the guy who got Mission Impossible back on track. Directing 3 and producing 4, 5 and however many more they decide to make.
At this point he could probably be considered the franchise king. By the time it's all said and done he'll probably direct several other franchise films... Batman, Jurassic Park, Bond etc... Dude is on a role.

He is also the guy who strung us LOST fans along for years, only to give us a retarded ending.

ATP, do you ever actually know what you're talking about? Abrams left L O S T after the third season.

May or may not work. been thinking about this, and not to be conspiratorial, you could be on to something. i've been thinking back to the "look up in the sky....story of superman" doc from 2006 and how little time was spent on "superman lives". not surprising as the whole affair and the entire period afterward makes them look like a bunch of dumb asses. thing is, i think WB could only benefit from this Superman Lives DOC. sure, they don't have any "superman lives" dvd's or merchandising to sell, but publicity is publicity. it sells the brand, the superman franchise. if it were me i'd give this guy everything. all access. i'd let him atthe props, the concept art, any footage of screen tests and FX testing. stills of set pieces. heck- i'd grease the wheels for a new exclusive interview with burton and cage. does that superman costume still exist? does cage want to put it on to recreate his favorite scene? do it. then load it up with WB movie trailers and ads for WB blurays. win win.

Most of the suits involved with the failed Superman projects are gone now. Horn's with Disney, Di Bonaventura has his own production company. Robinov was around, but I don't remember seeing him mentioned as being active in the development of Superman Lives. I could be mistaken on that one. Peters is a producer in-name-only at this point. I don't think there's anyone left at WB to be embarassed by it, so why not?

splashpage.mtv.com/2013/03/19/nicolas-cage-superman-lives-kickstarter-doc/MTV talks to Nic Cage about "Superman Lives" but doesn't ask about that little photo from a few moths go. Are you fucking kidding? Look, let's just find the guy and ask him. Considering he takes any project for the paycheck, I'm sure $5 and a ham sandwich will buy us the answer: Is that real? Don't bullshit me, is that real?
