I'm of the mind that I REALLY want Joseph Gordon Levitt to do it. I really, really want that. You wouldn't need an origin story. You wouldn't need ANYTHING. He could just show up and boom, that's it. We'd get it. Everyone would get it. That's the new Batman from the other movies, like they inferred was gonna happen. That universe could easily exist in the universe of MOS. I doubt it'll happen, but for me, he'd be it.
Much better than Armand fucking Hammer.

Like I always say, if it's too perfect, it will never happen. Casting him would totally get rid of the bad taste of rebooting the series too soon. Plus it gives Zimmer the excuse to use music from those Batman movies. They'll be saving a lot of time and money.

Agreed on both posts.
I can't imagine they'll get hammered to play batman as he's opposite cavill in "man from uncle"

Who should? Nobodies really jumping out at me right now.
Who will be the new Batman? Some Brit or some Aussie?
Karl Urban would be decent but he's too old. I like him as Dredd though and hope a sequel happens. Probably not but
Fassbender might be interesting but he gets mentioned for everything plus he's already magneto.
It should be someone somewhat mature. Not too old but not anyone in their 20s. It should be someone who looks more world and life experienced than Cavill.

Agreed on all points, fellas.
I can't really think of anyone. It'll just be one of those teen novel movie hunks, I'm sure. Bah.

They'll probably cast some unknown guy (aka cheap). That serves two purposes. One, it won't be an established star that will upstage Henry Cavill. I can't imagine Cavill is too thrilled about having to share a movie. Two, if the guy works out, they can build a new series of Batman movies around him, again, for cheaper than an established star.

It might be someone known just not too know...kind of the way Bale was. But it won't be anyone more famous than that. The Batman name sells itself. You don't need a star as long as he's a good actor.

Do you imagine, maybe wb had a "plan a" MoS makes over 800- they go with MoS2 and start talking flash "Plan b" is MoS doesn't do "as well" but still merits a sequel so they ADD batman to add to box office draw... ..? I know cavill is jonesing to get another superman movie, but you could be right at being miffed about sharing. Heard he's back in the gym to bulk up. Id love to know how the conversations went with WB execs and nolan and goyer and snyder....

What makes you think Nolan is still involved?

I really highly doubt it'll be gordonlevitt.
Even if its not "official" and just inferred, that would grandfather the dark knight trilogy and nolans wife was pretty adament that that series is closed.
But hey, money talks.
The nolans trilogy and "arrow" all co-exist they will have almost matched the scale of marvel.

What makes you think Nolan is still involved? He's still "exec producer" isn't he?

That can often mean nothing. Tim Burton with Batman Forever, Jon Peters with everything after Batman '89.
I've never gotten the impression Nolan is in for the long haul. Didn't he not want to make TDKR initially?

Didn't he not want to make TDKR initially? That's what I was thinking. It'll be an in name only kind of thing mostly. He might give a few tips here and there but that's all. Peters name was on MOS but I bet he had nothing to do with it. It's a different situation but it shows that it happens.

The nolans trilogy and "arrow" all co-exist they will have almost matched the scale of marvel. They can say that but so far Arrow hasn't been proven to connect with anything. At one point producers were even saying they wanted reynolds to guest star as Hal Jordan. Arrow borrows from Nolans films tonally. But the Flash did that with Burton's films over 20 years ago.

It would be much cheaper if they use Gordon Levitt.

From My perspective, Gordon Levitt is way too small to play Batman and I can't imagine him being menacing as Batman. Can't wait to see who they'll get...

I like Gordon Levitt but he's wrong for Bruce Wayne and that's the Batman they should use. After getting a more physically imposing Superman they definitely need a more physically imposing Batman to fit Snyder's more macho style. Look at the real badasses in Snyder's films. They aren't the boyish types. The guy tends to go for more mans man types in his moves. JGL is more Nightwing than Batman. They need a man that can psychologically intimidate this Clark Kent in some way and JGL ain't that guy. This Batman should be more rugged.

Why is this being called MOS2?
If anything it will be Batman Re-begins. Special Appearance by Henry Cavill as Man of Steel
