I love the diamond pattern on the Blue.
I'm indifferent about the "S" pattern on the "S".

Maybe in the next one they can have Supes have S shields all over his costume ala the Riddler!

Seriously people, if they do reboot the Superman franchise and make another series of films with another actor, will you still be glad that SR was made? I think it'll be sorta a misfit film...

For the most part, people here LOVE SR. I love everything about the movie. If there's a reboot, I'm still going to check it out. I'm a Superman fan, not just a Donnerverse fan. So, in the event there's a reboot, I'll check it out with an open mind. I may love it or I may hate it. If I love this "reboot" I will still be glad SR happened. If I hate it and most people hate it, I'm going to write the WB one simple letter with one simple picture.

Well I seriously think that they are gonna do another Superman franchise and they're gonna get it right this time.
And I just worry that SR will be forgotten and lost between two Superman series.

Rebooting Superman is a stupid idea just from a cost standpoint. They already have the art design, sets, and props. Rebooting would mean incurring all those expenses over again.
If they do reboot, I hope they're stuck in production heck for 10 years. Serves them right for running with a stupid idea. (See also Superman movie production 1990-2004)

Ultimately it's going to be Horns' decision to make. Robinov is a moron. Luckily, Horn has always been supportive of both Routh and Singer.

U guys think maybe Nolan would do a good Superman origin story ala Batman Begins? Maybe Nolan's heightened reality would be a good contrast to Donner's fairy tale.

No, he doesn't have the right mindset. Superman movies shouldn't be dark, pessimistic and gritty.

No, he doesn't have the right mindset. Superman movies shouldn't be dark, pessimistic and gritty. like Superman Returns wasn't? Maybe a darker approach could have worked if Superman truly came back to a more dangerous world where people were dying in SR. The choice that Batman makes in Dark Knight: what is going to far? WOuld be great for Superman cause he CAN fix anything so the temptation is so great to just clean up the streets by brute force but then he'd become just like them

A Superman movie with Michael Bay-style fight editing and a non-score, no thanks.

i am glad that SR happened. i am MORE glad that several other superman movies didn't. Well said! Well, everybody here already knows that I'm SO GLAD that SR happened. Superb movie, sequel or not. I rather have one great Superman movie than several shitty-no substance-all flashy-action flicks pretending to be Superman movies.

well.. tim burton's zombie-superman would have been ( morbidly ) fascinating. - but ONLY if WB were cranking out superman movies the way SAW movies get released every few weeks. THEN we might indulge an oddball elseworld movie.
yeah, i'm all about verisimilitude and glass-half-full.

U dudes r missing da point. They are gonna do a whole new SERIES of Superman films. Our generation will have the Reeve films, the next will have the new series. Who will take ownership of SR? It'll be like a bidding time film... to hold us over to the next series. OR they could opt to continue with SR... but it'll be hard since the film was already a kinda of sequel /remake itself so its a shaky foundation to start a new set of films. Plus they'll have to work in Jason...uggghh do we really need to have a daddy Superman??? They should just start again; when/if they do will you still be happy that SR was made cuz it'll have no real place or fit in anywhere

I was disapointed by SR, but not because it could have been worse - which is crap justification.
I was disapointed because (unsuprisingly) I thought it should have been so much better.
Ah well, let's hope a new writer, director, editor and DP take over; if that means replacing Routh too then a shame but so be it.

Who was Ricky's father? Was it Brad? Please tell me if this was obvious... because I never knew.
edit:: oh I just remembered Donald was prolly his Dad... but I thought I read something on the main site that SIII had a somber overtone that coulda been delved into more regarding Ricky and his alcoholic father (so it'd be Brad??)... maybe I misread it.
