I don't care what anyone says... we would all pick the Donner cut cause of Reeve and Donner and Unsworth.... come'on I set ya on a desert island for real and call your bluff!
For God sakes SOMEONE be serious and vote for Donner Cut. And uhhh.... if Gandy votes his counts as 10!

If you really have the funds to pull that off, perhaps you could pull a few strings with the Brothers Warner and get us a proper Superman sequel?

Yipes, the more I think about it, the more I'm POSITIVE I wouldn't bring it.
Christ, the score is so goddamn screwed up. That kinda thing really infuriates me, and the Donner Cut was certainly no exception. heck, it's probably the prime example of a poorly edited musical score.
I can never hear that little motif that Thau used over and over and over again to signify evil.

Thau must have been listening to some Horner scores back to back when he was editing the music.

That screencap looks like an amalgam of Bryan Singer & Tom Cruise. No, it doesn't. It looks like Brandon to me.

Unfortunately, it looks like CGI Brandon, and not the real thing.

A while back I brought up Lester's dumb-ass joke with the general who unwittingly tells Zod who his superior his. Now, I have found another shit joke::: Mr. White tells Clark that if Paris is gonna get blown up he wants his best reporter (Lois) right in the middle of it! WTF? Does he want Lois dead or something? He's basically saying that he wants Lois to be right in the middle of a hydrogen bomb explosion!!! Jeez Lester was sooo FUBAR on his jokes that ya gotta dissect each one, and they're not even funny... maybe it's due to his dry (read: sucky) British wit!
Anyway, what did you guys think of this pathetic morbid, fascistic attempt at a joke about wanting Lois dead?

Yeah.. Supes can have faults but he doesn't have to eaves drop. I think it might have worked if the audience really believed that he was having a hard time reconnecting with the world and Lois. As it was, he was came back, everyone acted like it was no big deal except Lois who treated him like garbage, and Supes just seemed to eaves drop for no valid reason other than he was curious.

Now, as I was saying... did anyone get the Lester's joke that Mr. White wanted "his best reporter to be right in the middle" of a hydrogen bomb explosion??? Seriously I think this line was supposed to be a joke. It's funny because Lois didn't even know about the hydrogen bomb when she arrived @ Paris... she's like "duuuhhh a bomb are you sure??? White sent her anyway the ole' user! It didn't matter whether or not she plunged down the tower elevator cart, she would been killed anyway (along with all the people in paris) if Superman hadn't shown up. Mr. White would signed her death warrant... luckily he also (unintentionally) sent Supes after her so it was all good.

yea... he's here for all mankind not one person. he listens to the world to eaves drop on one person means there's specific info he wants to obtain

and he's been gone for 5 years, and just wants to make sure that the woman he loves and wants to be with is doing ok.
Whats wrong with that? You wouldn't do that after being gone for years to come back and see that the woman you love and wanted to be with is with someone else? Even to make sure that she is ok and in good hands?
I think that makes him very Human, and gives him very human emotions.. something that just about everyone can relate too.
