I was hoping Kara would be in the "Legion" episode so she might return to the future with the Legion of Superheroes. She's done it before in the comics and it would be a logical way to write her out for the time being.
When I heard they were introducing Supergirl last season I thought it was a terrible idea but it actually turned out pretty well and they handled the character nicely. Removing her from the story was the only way to go though; you can't have SuperGIRL before SuperMAN.
So I'm glad they're not just leaving her in the Phantom Zone never to be spoken of again, but they better have a good explanation for her not being around the rest of the season. And it better not be "she's out there...somewhere" like they have with the Justice League save Green Arrow, Lex Luthor, Martha Kent, Lana Lang, and Pete Ross. As you can see, we have quite enough of that already.

I also did this one.. for whatever... I found the Smallville fonts and used it.. thought it was pretty cool. Just wish I could get the font from the Superman Movie opening credits. For free anyways.. I've found the ones that it's based off of, but gotta pay like 35 bucks for it. But for the above pic, I think I might do more with the lettering to make it look a little better than have it look so plain like that. I just updated the letterings in the pic..

So what did ya think of last nights episode? It was pretty good.. I'm shocked as to what Chloe did at the end.. I couldn't believe it.
Looks like next week Kara returns.
This season is becoming one of the best seasons so far as far as the story goes. I like how Clark is starting to embrace his Destiny more and more.
Welling is doing so much better this season as Clark. I can totally believe that a year or two down the line that Clark is going to become Superman.
If the season keeps this up I wouldn't mind one more season, but have it be the Justice League with Superman in it or something like that. I dunno, but I would like this to keep going for another year.

This is the best season, by far! The ratings are higher than they were last year, so a 9th season is possible.
Welling is becoming Superman. His acting is a lot better than it's been in the past, and he's starting to look the part.
The show in general is very, very good. I can't wait for next weeks episode!
SPOILER
Chloe is infected by Brainiac. Slowly but surely, she's becoming Brainiac.

Regarding the spoiler.. I had a feeling something like that was going to happen. I hope that they don't kill her off cause she's not part of the Superman Lore in the comics.
Weren't they supposed to introduce Chloe in the comics? Did that happen already.. it's been a while since I heard that though.
Legsy, where do you go to see the ratings of the show.. and it's previous seasons?

Craig reports the ratings on kryptonsite.com every week. The ratings thus far have been around 4.1. Up from last years 3.7. The ratings for this season aren't on wikipedia. The plan was to introduce Chloe to the comics last year. I don't know the details but DC decided not to go through with it. It may still happen, though. From www.kryptonsite.comLast nights ratings."Identity" Ratings! Smallville continues to do well for The CW, and hopefully these ratings will be thought of when a decision is made about Season 9. (Just if there is, please pay Tom Welling whatever it takes to come back for another year!) Here's the overnight-ratings breakdown (Source: Mediaweek): Rank Show Network Rating (in millions of viewers) Last Week #1 Survivor: Gabon CBS 13.14 13.40 (#1) #2 Ugly Betty ABC 8.55 8.66 (#4) #3 My Name Is Earl (8:00-8:30) NBC 6.17 6.32 (#5) #4 Kath & Kim (8:30-9:00) NBC 5.46 4.98 (#6) #5 Smallville The CW 4.24 4.22 (#7) #6 Kitchen Nightmares (R) FOX 3.81 N/A (R) Denotes repeat airing

MAV, seriously, this season has been freaking awesome! It's blown previous season out of the water. Getting rid of Rosenbaum and Kreuk has done wonders for this show.

Smallville's been good this season, it would be silly to cancel it when it's finally doing well.

Smallville's been good this season, it would be silly to cancel it when it's finally doing well. I disagree. "Smallville" missed the boat with this a couple of seasons ago. If it had transitioned into a "Metropolis" series with its current form then, that would be a different matter. But now in its EIGHTH season, its inconceivable to stretch things out any longer without Clark becoming Superman. A big part of why this season is working so well is the feeling of building towards Superman. Clark is now working at the DP, the romantic tension has developed between he and Lois, his heroics have started to get attention as a mystery hero, and he's realizing he's going to need a secret identity. Then there's the plot of Lex being missing, which is working fine for now, but can't go on forever. And the Davis/Doomsday stuff, which I see as working towards a final confrontation that will result in Clark finally becoming Superman. Give it another season, and the Lex and Doomsday plots get ruined, and all the build up for Clark himself gets postponed for no reason other than needless extending the series.

I'm not saying give it another season. I'm saying striking it down mid-season would be stupid, just as we're finally getting somewhere.
