Oh yes...these WILL be mine. Oh yes. Hopefully these are just prototypes. Problem with the S is it's too big and seems to be raised. Wtf? But I've been wanting figures like this my whole life.

I know.. the S is terrible.. not only is it raised but the boarder of the diamond.. the red part is too thick, and it's not shaped right.. But yeah.. I'm getting these too.. I've always wanted these as well growing up. Here's a pic of the Batman ones.. they have a rubber cape? fabric cape? I can't tell, but it's better than the hard plastic capes which I hate. Once NYCC opens tomorrow I'm sure we'll see some better images.

I've heard about this "con stench".
What the frack is up with that? Do these geeks not shower or something?

Enrique, some don't. Some, it's their only foray into public.

I like them, but I am not keen on the plastic capes. I prefer the fabric ones of yesteryear. If they are reasonably priced I may pick them up.

I like how Batman's cape is fabric, why can't they do that to Superman? It wouldn't be that hard to do. I'm probably the biggest hater on plastic capes.. I've purposely not bought figures because of them for displaying. I've got a couple that I've left in the package but that's about it. I do want to get a Movie Masters MOS Superman and replace the cape with a fabric one lol.

I would've KILLED for those Batman toys in 1989!
The Toy Biz ones were horrible!

Toy Biz was horrible.. a crappy knockoff of the Super Powers Collection by Kenner. Even using the same molds for a few of the figures, some of the bootlegs were better than that. These are the dream toys I wanted when i was a kid right here, and I'm going to be getting these.. I'll have to get doubles of a couple just to open and display (secretly play with them as if i was 5 yrs old again )

A Kenner Batman for the first movie would have kicked the heck out if the first Toybiz toys. The Batman for that line looked nothing like Keaton. You look at the Superpowers Batman and even it was awesome in comparison.

Remember how on the BACK of the package, it was CLEARLY a square-jawed Super Powers Batman, and it looked 100 times better than the actual figure!?

I keep a Super Powers and Toy Biz Superman for nostalgia. I had the Toy Biz for a while, but I had lost the cape long ago. A vintage toy shop in Boise had a Super Powers figure with cape, so I snatched it up. Really happy I did. I'd love to get a Super Powers Batman and Robin to go with them. I've got a lot of other figures like Joker, Penguin, Riddler, but I can't remember which line they came from. I think Riddler is Toy Biz because I don't think Super Powers even made a Riddler. Also have a Wonder Woman, not sure which line. As far as the Batman film figures go, Kenner did a much nicer job with the "Batman Returns" line. There were only three of those I've kept: one had a black/silver paint scheme, one black/gold, another all black and his arms popped out with the cape attached to the wrists. Bad booty for 1992.

Yes the Kenner BR line was pretty cool. They actually looked like Keaton any the Bruce Wayne was pretty darn cool. The only disappointment I can remember was The Penguin. On the back of the package it looks like a spray painted SP Batman. The Toybiz one had some of the suit details right but man it also just went so wrong.

Big difference is the paint finish. Matte black in the picture, glossy paint on the actual figure.
I still remember the shock of seeing this and the movie as a kid and thinking, "Since when does Batman wear all black? He's blue and gray!" darn you, Tim Burton! I mean, I don't expect the Super Powers light blue and light gray in a movie, but darn that all-black look won't go away!

It was so awesome at the time. Just like the black-costumed Spidey in the Secret Wars comics.
Now... not so much.

My brother, who is 11 years younger than me, was old enough to play with action figures so he had that particular figure. I was 14-15 at that point and had outgrown toys, so I never paid much attention to the back of the package. That *is* a pretty fracking badass toy in the picture. I had the "Super Powers" Batman, I have it somewhere still. I definitely still have the Batmobile.

The Super Powers line were the best figures ever.
Hands down. Quintessential versions of each character.
Even Alex Ross has said so (in an old Wizard magazine somewhere), and I'll be darned if the Animated Series Batman face wasn't directly based on the Super Powers Batman.

That's awesome. I never noticed the Animated Series Batman face looking like the Super Powers Batman till you mentioned it. Super Powers is my favorite toy line, I had all the figures except 2 (Cyborg which was impossible to find, and Parademon and that's cause parents didn't want me having a "demon" character) and just about all of the vehicles. Either lost or sold most of them growing up which I now deeply regret. I want to start collecting them again and displaying the figures in shadow boxes. Like the attached image. My fiance found that Superman at a antique store and I snatched it up quick. I created the background in Photoshop resembling the card the figures were on. I'm working on the logo in Illustrator so that I can make it bigger without losing the quality.

I still have the Hall of Justice, but I'm pretty sure it's missing all the accessories.
