That's cool. I really wish I still had mine, and all the rest of the collection. I loved them as a kid and thought (at the time) getting rid of toys would be a good thing to do, get some money off of them from garage sales and "grow up". Now I'm like frack that, I was dumb for letting go of almost all of my stuff ( I was a bit spoiled so I had a lot of toys) I still have a few of my vintage Star Wars figures, but that's about it.

I never noticed the Animated Series Batman face looking like the Super Powers Batman till you mentioned it.

Keith man I love that, what a great idea to recreate those awesome packages. I've recently made a call to start collecting them again, just the core JLA. I've stared with the Duo, check em out! Hard to find loose figures in good shape, I'm not inclined to collect packaged figures.

Thanks HOSNI! Those pics are sweet! Good loose figures are hard to come by, ebay will have a good deal once and a while, best bet is going to a Toy Con and getting some through there. I'm from Michigan and there's a few every year downstate but still a good drive for me so I haven't had a chance to check em out. Batman I've found to be a more difficult one to find at a decent price loose.
If I ever do decide to get carded figures, it's only going to be a select few of my favorite characters.

The photos for final product for Hot Toys Man of Steel Superman is up. Here's the link to the Hot Toys facebook album but I'm posting a couple of my favorites below... Hot Toys AlbumI know it's the display that came of Christopher's Superman, but it's still pretty freaking cool Really good face sculpt and the details in the suit is great! I love how huge the cape is. Ok.. one more....

So when are those DC multiverse movie figures coming out? I want the Reeve and Keaton figures. It be the only good big screen Batman/Superman combo we get in the next few years.

First off I've always wondered how the Hot Toys Superman returns suit looks on the hot toys Reeve body? Anyone know of anyone trying that?
I got the Stamp Zod and the Keaton Batman. For the scale Batman is good. Decent headsculpt. The leather like cape is amazing though. Not only is it the right size at this scale for once but the texture is cool. Zods ok. Decent likeness. Good sculpting. My one complaint is the scale. They're a bit too big even compared to the past multiverse figures. I hate the inconsistency. If the Reeve figure ends up being short it's going to be annoying. Another problem is the muscles on the Keaton suit are too blocky. It looks more like the a cross between the Batman Begins and Batman Forever armor in spots (minus the nipples).

Those multiverse figs look pretty crappy. The Penguin looks to be the best of the bunch so far. The Reeve one isn't out yet to my knowledge, the prototype looked quite bad. Here's my Man of Steel Hot Toys. I got the suit airbrushed and a new cape. I also lowered the neckline and painted the gauntlets.

The scale on the Hot Toys Cavill is all fracked. For as much as people pay for them to display them you'd think they could get that right.
The DC multiverse line should have been larger scale figures. For a "collectors" line they should look better. I guess the only reason they slapped that on there is that kids wouldn't have interest in some of these figures be used they aren't as relevant. Penguin looks huge. Scale be dammed. That really annoys me. He might look good but he looks absurdly big next to the others.
I think what they'll do is double dip in a sense and rerelease the same versions of the characters in a larger scale. The Unmasked Keaton is crap. The old Kenner one from the 90s looks better and that's just sad.

Reeve Superman for the DC Multiverse is out now... He's going for a pretty penny on ebay right now. I still have yet to find any. The sculpts are ok, but they could be waaaay better. 3D looking S logo? Plastic cape but a fabric one for Batman? Like you said Mav, the Kenner Bruce Wayne figure (which I use to have) has a 100 times better sculpt and looks just like Keaton. Anyways, this is just what I've noticed from the pictures. I'm sure i'll find more complaints once i get em.
I still want to get the MoS HotToys figure... Booshman, your modification looks awesome! Love the custom cape.. how did you do that.. Might end up doing that to mine as well, looks awesome.

Mav? Anyway...for this scale the multiverse figures look ok but as a collector line they come up short. That's why a lot of folks wish they were bigger. I've seen worse at the 4 inch scale but I've also seen way better. It's a shame to waste the likenesses by not getting them perfect while they have them. I think it's a combo of the softer plastic the size and other things that hurt them. Painted faces show a lot more detail (like penguin). As it is the details on most of the faces look soft and gummy. The paint details on the eyes of the unmasked Bruce Wayne are particularly bad
I agree with the raised sculpted S on the Reeve Superman. I was telling a friend it bugs me too. The accessories are also sparse. At least they could toss in a batarang with the Keaton Batman. With this scale it gives a lot of options for accessories and other things. I'd buy a Burtonmobile at this scale.
Don't get me wrong it's great to finally have these and I don't hate em but I was hoping for better.

I wouldn't have minded if they were bigger, I get what everyone is saying. As much as I despise McFarlane, I wish HE would get the license to do the SII and Keaton figures. *sigh*

I bought the cape from a guy called Tony Mei. He's made a lot of different replacement capes for Hot Toys figures. You can reach him at: dandymei@gmail.com If you want to modify the neckline, that's pretty easy to do. Look on youtube for "Man of Steel cape mod tutorial" and there are some videos that will show you how it's done.

I think I ment to say "man" I agree they should have done better sculpts and paint jobs. I'm picky about that when it comes to picking up a figure.

Apparently Target in the US has reduced the multiverse figures to $7. So if anyone wants them cheap try there, or see if you can get a price match elsewhere.

What does one think the odds are of DC/WB actually going back and making bigger ones with more detail later? Is there a good recommended website that keeps up with these toy details/rumors?
