What happened? Did Warners shut him down? I'm glad I got these off of Caped Wonder.

Hmm? Good question. I know he had posted his last clip a couple of weeks ago. Maybe WB did shut him down, or he took it down himself.
Jim Bowers is a member of the board, maybe he knows?

Caped Wonder is missing some of Selutron's footage. The Concorde flyby scene is not on there. Someone PLEASE say that they have it saved.

I'm placing my money that Selutron shut it down.

Hmph, typical.
He's a used car salesman, and we just figured out he left us with a lemon.
Edit: He definitely took it down himself. If YouTube took it down for him (by request of Warner or something), it would say something to the effect of being suspended.

Oh wow. I take back what I said. I guess he wanted a more secure place than YouTube. I can't blame him.

The videos haven't been deleted, they've just become more secret and are hosted in a secret location.
A very high up (secret) person at Youtube asked them to be moved, but Youtube still like the videos and support them. That's all I can say.

Just as long as that Concorde scene is put up on Caped Wonder, I'll be a happy camper.

My guess is that since the Concorde scene involves footage from a non-WB (I think) movie, that's the reason that they've avoided putting it up on Capedwonder.
Just a guess...I also wonder if the exclusive move is a sign that WB may really want to be able to monitor interest more accurately by keeping it only at CW?
I also wonder, too, if/once MOS gets the greenlight to 'go' ,whether or not WB will also greenlight another Supes II cut to tie into MOS' release.... (Hoping of course it's not just a re-release with a 3d cover... ;p )

So, is his goal to show Warner more can be done, prompting them to revisit Superman 2? If not, I don't get why he made those clips if it wasn't for an actual cut... Not to be critical, just curious.

Psh, some people accused him of making fake YouTube accounts just to praise himself? Man, some people REALLY have it in for him.
As far as I'm concerned, Selutron's message answered a lot of questions. Thanks, Gandy.

I feel really bad that alot of people have attacked this guy, needlessly IMO, when the only thing he is guilty of is loving Superman and trying to get the WB to take notice that alot of fans were unhappy with the Donner cut and would like a better film.
I for one am greatfull that a fellow fan of superman would try so hard to get interest in a possible re cut of superman II. I would not have the thick skin he does if people were cutting down my efforts and throwing accusations at me for no apparent reason. A while back someone accused me of BEING selutron, only to praise myself. What a ridiculous thing to say.
I am greatfull for any effort put forth for superman products, whether it be a fan, the wb or any other company.
I have seen a couple of fan cuts, and there all different, but have one thing in common. Fans still want something better. And if Selutrons efforts is able to get the WB to do something about it, then I am eternally greatfull.
Thankyou Selutron

Again, if I had the original post, I would post it, and let all be the judge for himselves/themselves.
And...yup, if it in the end Selutron's efforts generates a superior cut of the RDC, great... but everyone's entitled to feel whatever they feel about how the job got done.
That's not starting a fight or stirring shite up, it's just honestly expressing how one thought things were handled.

the best solution , imo , is a compilation :
the theatrical cut the donner cut the international cut ilya's cut
and a complete isolated sequnece of deleted/ extended scenes
if all of the footage is restored i will stop complaining about this edit or that.

"Ilya's cut?" I thought he agreed with Lester's cut.

Selutron's work, Crazy Asian Man's work and the brilliant stuff that ADigitalMan did are 3 of the best Superman II fan edits I've ever seen. These 3 highly professional and extremely talented men are way out of my league. No offense to other Superman II fan editors. I've done my best with my own fan edit and I think I've done a damn good job..especially for a beginner. Unfortunately some people disagree with that.

I pretty much agree with Albert. ADM, CAM and Selutron plus Adywan are 4 of the great editors out there. I'm just coming to terms with the skill of editing myself, but I'm getting there. I've now learnt how to do 3D titles as seen in STM, and I can now rotoscope. It's taken me around 2 years, but patience is the key, but I'm in no way the same league as those guys.

"Ilya's cut?" I thought he agreed with Lester's cut. i just meant a possible " best of both worlds " cut sanctioned by ilya. he does support lester ( what else would he do ? he fired donner ) and allowed the donner cut . i imagine its possible for a best of both worlds edit. no one will like a best of the both worlds edit, its too subjective.

Dear all, i think if we will be able to see another, definitive version of the Donner's cut in the next few year, it will be thanks to Selutron unique vision and efforts, every hate on this forum against him, can just slow the warner decision, We are part of the same team guys! if warner will gift us another superman II version, the definitve , i hope with the right efforts, movie theatre standard and not dvd standard in mind, during the process of this project, and Selutron vision about the drama and the scale of this picture in his mind like the true part II of the masterpiece. we will must be just happy and my eyes will be full of tears... cause superman II donner's version deserve a better treatment and a self-contained saga in two part is a wonderful idea to celebrate Mr Reeve, Donner and every guy have workerd on this two movies. someone can't like Selutron work and vision, but there is a fact, this guy is the only one who try to understand every hole of this two movies and in full respect for tha materials he try to cover this gaps, think about his prologue for part II... he answer a great hole of the our masterpiece STM, in a genuine, fresh and astonish creative way! i'm not a selutron friend, and i have full respect for the other fan cutter, but his work have the right touch of this materials, this is just my thaught. when i see his clip i can feel the spirit and the colour of the movie i have loved for all the day of my life...STM. so dear friend still remain part of the same team if our goal is to see a new definitve version of PART II! to celebrate in the right way the dream makers which we are grown.
