I'm hoping that we will at least get the theatical version of Superman: The Movie, with the original sound. Ditto. ;D ;D ;D If the blu-ray collection is indeed coming, then hopefully a Supergirl blu-ray isn't too far behind.

I personally don't want any Supergirl shit in any box-set that could potentially raise the price
That's like been forced to pay for Star Wars prequels when you only want the OT

Just based on the fact that the 90s Batman movies on blu ray were the exact same as the previous Special Edition DVDs, I would expect nothing less or more from the Superman movies on blu ray. Although, I would absolutely love it if WB would do some digital wire removal for SIII & SIV. On blu ray, I expect that to be even more pronounced.

What I'd like to see in this Superman Blu Ray Collection: 1. Superman : The Movie - the one with the deleted scenes intact 2. Superman II : The Richard Donner Cut 3. Superman II : Richard Lester version - with the deleted scenes intact 4. Superman III 5. Superman IV - if they could get the 134 min version i.p. That'd be sweet 6. Superman Returns 7. Supergirl : The Director's Cut - as an added bonus to the collection.(adventure runs in the family) The director's cut of this movie is actually quite good. If not in this collection, maybe have the film separate.

Since Supergirl is apart of the series cannon (the picture of superman!) I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be included in any boxsets.

As much as I would love to get this.. If it has all the special features from the DVD set and then some, they better be captioned. If not, they will not be getting my money.
That's the only thing that PISSES me of with the DVD set. Spent all that money and I can't even watch everything on it cause WB is dumb and cannot caption or subtitle their special features.
I love Paramount for the Star Trek movies and all their special features were subtitled, even the commentary track by Okuda (?) Even Universal did it for Back to the Future, the DVD set was all subtitled.
So WB better subtitle or caption everything in the set.

STM, S2 and S3 are the original trilogy.
The three that came after are the prequels.

A sequel to a film 26 years later is just too long, lol

^But it makes A LOT more sense thematically than that Richard Pryor comedy with Superman as a supporting character.. Also, there are the prequels, Tron Legacy, Indy 4..

I'm betting this will be nothing but a bit for bit port-over from the existing set. Nothing will be new except the packaging.
Count on it.

I was watching SIII a bit this morning, and I enjoy it a great deal. It is what it is. A bad idea executed well...

Was watching SIV with friends last night. Actually, not bad at all, when not taken too seriously. ;D We watched the DVD edition with the deleted scenes selection in the features section. Would like to see a 134 min version in the Superman Blu Ray collection. The movie makes more sense with the deleted scenes intact.

A port is fine. What matters is the picture and audio quality. If they simply reuse the 2006 Blu-rays for STM, S2DC and SR, which does not utilize today's standards (lossless audio, 4K masters), then pass.
