From Google translate;
Warner has reported a sneak preview zonadvd.com that currently are working on the launch of Pack Superman - Ultimate Collection on Blu-ray. Similar in content to what the company already sold in November 2006 on DVD, but this time in HD.
The pack will have 7 albums and five films will be the hero of steel, the four starring Christopher Reeve and the remake of Bryan Singer: Superman Returns. From the classic, although the first two have already been published in Blu-ray (in Spain, only one), Superman III and IV remained unpublished.
Few more details confirmed our company as the launch is still in development, but we may have a similar presentation to the DVD edition and of course all this extra content included. As we reported the departure date is not fixed yet and even the premiere of "reborn" of the franchise is scheduled for 2012 is very likely that the Pack Superman Ultimate Collection Blu-ray goes on sale earlier in the year 2011.
Faced with the threat of destruction of the planet Krypton, Jor-El introduces his son on a ship that leads to Earth. Adopted by the Kent family, the baby grows under the name of Clark, through their extraordinary strength. Years later he began working as a journalist hiding their true identity of Superman.
From 13 discs to 7?? What's going to be dropped, I wonder...?

Nothing should be dropped martin. With Bluray you can store more data so less discs are used. Same thing happened with the new ALIEN box set.

I kind of wish they were holding out on this release until the new film comes out, that way they'll have more time to put some new features on it. From the looks of this, all of the features will just be a port from the DVDs. I'm hoping that we will at least get the theatical version of Superman: The Movie, with the original sound. I can't wait to see Lester's Superman II in HD and laugh at Superman IV in HD.

I was certain WB would capitalize on the new movie so this announcement is interesting and sadly more likely just to be a translation from the Ultimate Collection rather than anything new...
I hope its not daubed in artwork form Returns this time, however...

That's actually a very interesting point Martin. If it reverts back to the Reeve era, would that be WB admitting defeat? ;D

Other than the extended cuts, docs on Sups3/4 or a separate section with ALL the deleted footage. I don't know much else that could be included, the sets are pretty loaded.

I know its wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be great if Selutron has been working on restoring S2 for the last 2 years or whatever (whenever he went to WB with his proposed cut) and it will be released in this set? I know, stupid idea. However, considering how shut in Sel keeps himself from this community, I feel like this is something he wouldn't tell anyone so as to not spoil the surprise.

This could be really good. I hope WB brings the goods.
What I'd like to see:
- New 4K-derived master of STM (the old one was OK for 2006, but technology has improved a lot since then) - Theatrical cuts of STM and S2 - Lossless audio for all movies and cuts - All deleted scenes for S2, and all previously released deleted scenes presented in full widescreen or HD (S3's scenes were 4x3, Souffle was 4x3 widescreen) - Cleaned up S4 deleted scenes, hopefully without the temp music - More Superman Returns deleted scenes, including Return of Krypton - Bryan Singer commentary for SR (yeah right)

Now this is assuming all that:
a) this is confirmed
and
b) That this date is set in stone.....they could always change it especially since "date" isn't even given...just "2011"
So there's hope that it could change.....and even though Blu-ray's hold more info....the way they presented that box set originally...I don't see how they would condense it to 7....I mean if you put the "You will believe" documentary on the same disc as "Look up in the Sky" I can see that.....so we're down to 11 discs....
Supes III and IV will be as is....so still 11 discs (unless of course they decide for some reason to do 3 on one side and 4 on the other...)
That leaves the 4 disc of STM, Supes II RDC and Original 2 disc edition, and SR 2 disc edition....
So either condensing the heck out of the extra features (maybe in 720p to save space to fit on a single disc?) Or leaving something out.....that's the only way I can see it.....personally...I think they should include a lot of the things you guys have mentioned
Unfortunately...getting the original STM with it's original....everything....is about as likely as George Lucas listening to the fans of Star Wars and giving them theatricals of the original Star Wars trilogy...EVER. I would also hope (again...not gonna happen) that they should finish what they started. It was a campy show, but don't put out the first season of the Superboy series and forget the 3 seasons that people liked, no sense at all....but then again, read above....sense and WB usually don't go hand in hand.

It was completely redone from scratch. The 2.0 stereo (not 5.1) track on the Theatrical cut DVD (the one you had to send off for because the box set was messed up) is the original sound. If you're listening to STM in 5.1 surround sound, it's not the original sound mix.

A BD 50 will hold 50 GB of information, if the special features are kept SD (which the probably will be just ported from the same files that made up the 2006 discs, Dual Layered Dvd's hold up to 8.7 GB) that is enough to hold more than 6 dvd's worth of content.

^Yup.
For the Alien Anthology Blu-ray set, they fit FOUR standard def three-hour documentaries (which originally took up 4 DVDs in the Quadrilogy set) onto one Blu-ray disc.
Most 2-disc DVDs that are ported to Blu-ray with all bonus features intact become a single Blu-ray disc. 30-40GB for the feature and 5-8GB for the SD features, plus another 2-4GB of newer HD features.

Yeah it will probably boil down to something like this. And I really wouldn't doubt it if Superman,Superman 2 TDC and Superman Returns are copies of the already released Blus. But it would be really nice if they did include some new stuff, like more deleted footage and all the alternate versions to all the films.
1. Superman 2. Superman 2 3. Superman 2 TDC 4. Superman 3 5. Superman 4 6. Superman Returns 7. Bonus features from 2006
