You can try 'Adobe Forehead Minimiser'.

Also, slightly going off-topic, has anyone noticed in SII when Supes takes Lois to the Fortress and says 'Ah, lunch, see, I don't usually do too much about that', you don't really hear the 'that'. It's more of a 'see, I don't usually don't too much about tha.'
I guess it must be how it was recorded.
Also, Supes then says 'tonight the sky's the limit, anything you want', and then flies off without asking her what she wants.

Yeah, that part's hilarious. Gotta wonder how they let that one go.

;D Hilarious!
About the first: I figure it was Reeve's take on the line- that he stopped himself mid-sentence, once he made up his mind to go out and fly across the planet to kill that parrot for Lois' dinner.

I know, what was the point in that? The whole thing just reminded me of an area of a zoo they cornered off just so they could film a scene of Superman picking a flower over a stream.
Isn't it true that they filmed that scene whilst on a break from filming whilst abroad?

He's got Super-hearing, Lois knows this. She could tell him what she wants while he's on his way. If she doesn't, it's her problem, she'll have what she's given!

In my fan cut, after she mentions dinnertime, Supes responds immediately with, "Listen, tonight, sky's the limit, anything you want". I'm not a fan of Supes' stuttering and stammering during that scene either.
Oh, and once I finally get around to working on this thing again, and I learn some special effects, Superman is gonna FLY out of the FOS. No walking off camera with a simple "whoosh" sound effect. No cutting cost/corners in my cut.

Ok, I've just re-watched Superman III on Bluray and I may have been slightly premature (grow up, guys) before. I found myself savouring the new quality, especially the vibrant colours of Superman's suit. I'm pretty sure that we're also seeing slightly more picture than the DVD too, especially on the left and right. I know we see slightly more of the top on Superman IV.
So, I retract my initial reaction and give it my full praise.

I think III comes out the best on blu ray,it looks so much better. Vibrant colors, the suit looks amazing and there is no more wires...about bloody time too.
The clean up has made it more watchable...

They've forgot to clean up the wires in Superman II Theatrical when Superman flies Lois in to the fortress after she discovers his secret.

Darren, I noticed that too. You can almost make out a gimble in the long shot

Ooh haven't noticed the gimble but I'll have a look later today. The ironic thing is that they've cleaned up the wires in all the scenes we noticed wires and then left a scene where I've never noticed them before.

How about the wires in S2 when Supes lands in Niagara Falls with the kid? Does the blu-ray remove them in both versions?

I'd heard (it may have been commentary) that they flew a skeleton crew out to some island just for that scene.... but from how they shot it, it might as well have been a Disneyland location. It wasn't like bringing Jeff East to a location that looked like the North Pole... (Which I dug, particularly in the ABC cut of STM)

Is there some reason Supergirl wasn't on this? It was a Salkind production and WB distributed, right? Not that I really need to see the film again, but I would have loved a retrospective because it seemed like that movie was a clusterfuck. I'm sure somebody has some interesting stories about it.

Hey,folks... I have just tried watching ''Look To The Sky'' feature on disc 8 and it's not playing right. Interviews with people are fine but when it shows comic book imagery and text, the picture seems to stagger The other features seem fine,Cinematic Saga, Science of... Can anyone else please check theirs, within the first 8 mins of the feature and you'll notice it,if you have a problem that is.

When it was released stateside it was a Tri Star release. I don't recall WB ever having much to do with this movie.

What a bunch of bullshit. I bought this from Amazon (actual Amazon, not a third party) and received the UK box set.

I assume all the SD content is PAL, which is a no go. Also, NONE of the discs are labeled, and what is there is in Spanish. You have to either get reading glasses or figure out which movie it is based on the photo of Reeve. ;D
As for the packaging, it's a standard digipak in a cardboard slipcase. It's different than the US version which has the outer case lift apart.
Thankfully, Amazon is giving a full refund. I'll have to get it from a brick-and-mortar.

Get it from Amazon Marketplace.
What took you so long to get it, anyhow?

Get it from Amazon Marketplace. What took you so long to get it, anyhow? First, because the set is too damn expensive. ~$90 for 2-3 good movies and a bunch of crap is too much. On top of that, early reviews stated that Amazon was handing out UK versions in the US. Amazon temporarily pulled the set, and then it came back....still UK versions. The overwhelming majority on Marketplace is the UK version too. People buy the cheaper UK version and then sell it in US for a profit. I can't trust any sellers. I'll have to see it with my own eyes before buying.

Has the Blu-Ray improved the script/acting/editing for SR?
