Mike, I got sad news for ya chap. If you cant handle people giving their opinions on a piece, then you may as well pack up & leave.
But I hope you don't.
I hope you stick around & share more of your art, as their are plenty of folks here like me who are interested in seeing it. But, as I said, if you don't want opinions, then you are at the wrong place.
As stated above, I'd like to see it from more angles, because I think that one is probably is really unflattering.
Also, I'd love to see some pics of the one you did of the Alex Ross Supes. That thing was amazing.

I assume this is the same Mike Hill that made sculpts of Alex Ross's Superman and Karloff and Lugosi?  Lugosi is uncanny.  Yes Sir thats me. Thanks regarding Lugosi! |

Sad is crying when you post a picture of something you made on the internet & expecting everyone to universally praise it & getting butthurt when they don't.
I don't think anyone is dismissing the hard work you obviously put into it.
But they are also entitled to their opinions.
If you don't want opinions, don't post pics on the internet.

Hi Mikehill i think your sculpture is amazing, one of the best models i have seen  I just had a play with the mouth area where it was a bit upturned at each side of the lips and i adjusted them slightly to try get the more natural one side smirk he does. I think it looks even more like him now what do you think?  |

Now insults too. Thanks Maverick. Mike, Maverick is Not insulting you at all. He's just saying that people on this board are entitled to their own opinions. But it seems that you only want to hear that your work is amazing. Personally, I can see that you really tried to give it your best, and I appreciate that. You're obviously a very talented artist and a passionate Superman/Reeve fan. But I didn't love it, there is something weird about his face, in my opinion. I think it's the nose and its mouth. But you know what? If you're happy with it (and some other people seem to really like it), then that's what's important. You can't please everyone. eh, don't take it so seriously. And BTW, your other work is amazing. |

Gazer, have you seen Mike's Alex Ross Supes statue? I swear, it looks like it could fucking MOVE! Its amazing. If I'm not mistaken, Alex bought it from Mike at a Con & commissioned him to make some others! Is that right Mike? |

There was even a picture of it in a Wizard Magazine special issue on Alex Ross! It showed Alex sitting at his drawing board with Mike's awesome statue looming large behind him! Cool as FUCK  |
