I'll probably see it four times. Third is Monday, IMAX 3D, fourth will probably be with the boys again. heck, I might even go a fifth someday down the line when I have nothing to do on my six weeks off. But we'll see.

Where's the option for "I don't know because my wife makes all the money and I'm at her mercy but she might let me go to IMAX 3D just to be nice then make me wait until it goes to the $2 theater later this year"?

I might see it again with a close friend, which would be the 3rd time.

Hopefully I'll be seeing it again this afternoon and I reckon that will be that until the Blu ray, by that time I would have forgotten a lot of what happens, sort of.

I'll see it one time in the theater. I don't do the multiple times in the theater thing anymore.

I'm seeing it again tonight, which will be my 2nd viewing. I imagine I'll end up seeing it 3-4 times.

Originally, I thought it might be 5-6 times if it was 'ok'- but the sensory overload was SO huge the first time, that it really depends on my experience a second time around. Originally, I would have thought 2 1/2 hours was plenty for a reboot Superman movie, but this (and TDKR actually) really needs/needed probably another 1/2 hour- if only for transitions to improve the flow.
Also- the more I talk to folks about the film, the more seem to all feel that a linear chronology would have helped the movie experience immensely- for different reasons.
In any case, I know I might appreciate the good things more and not be affected by what I didn't like less a second time- have to see. Not impossible to keep returning to this film on the big screen--- after all, when all is said and done, it's the first Superman movie existing in 7 years. (And who really knows when the next one will be, fast tracked or not?)

I'll see it one time in the theater. I don't do the multiple times in the theater thing anymore. Same here. I happen to be returning the place where the cinema is in 2 weeks so I'll go check it out once more. Hopefully a HD d/load around Christmas. I don't think this one has a high "repeat watching" value to it.

Probably 4 or 5, so much to take it, and so much fun to watch.

I'll probably see it for a second time this coming week, then a third time down the line with the boys... That should be enough for me.

Because I'm only asking sane people. You insane folk, just imagine you clicked on "Zero."
Belonging to a Superman message board and NOT seeing a Superman movie. Yup. Makes total sense to me...

My interests in 2006 =/= My interests now
And it's not out a silly loyalty to SR or anything. I find that a snoozefest now.

So Jimbo, you just flat out don't like Superman anymore, then?

My interest peaked a couple weeks before release, but waned after I read reviews. I don't want to watch a movie where filmmakers think it's OK for Superman to destroy half the city as a side effect of beating up the bad guy, not caring about the thousands of lives he's affecting/ending.
heck, even Richard Lester knew not to do that.
Then after all that, Superman has to make a "tough choice" to stop Zod from frying some people. Oh, so NOW he cares. That reminded me of that one scene in Revenge of the Sith where suddenly Obi-wan and Anakin are really friendly to each other as they say goodbye because Lucas forgot they should be friends. Too late, screenwriters.

Twice? If that? I do want to see it again to try and follow some things better but once in theaters really was enough to satisfy my curiosity and desire to see it. Especially since there are a couple of other things that have grabbed my attention way more for the summer movie season. Spinaroonie?

My interest peaked a couple weeks before release, but waned after I read reviews. I don't want to watch a movie where Superman helps to destroy half the city because he's too focused on beating up the bad guy, not caring about the thousands of lives he's affecting/ending. heck, even Richard Lester knew not to do that. Then after all that, Superman has to make a "tough choice" to stop Zod from frying some people. Oh now he cares. If you watch it, then watch it again- and you don't need a bib, a diaper, a sippy cup, a pie chart, and safety scissors you will see that superman does not cause the death of 1000s. Zods machine kills at least many dozens- even hundreds. Maaaaaaaybe 1000s. But the devastation is localised to a few city blocks, and there is exposition about people evacuating buildings. Superman does his utmost to bring zod up, out and away from people. He goes into fornicating outer space before zod brings it back down- as zods INTENT is to cause collateral damage, and if superman flies away (IE S2) zod won't give a nugget and will continue the carnage. Zod wants to keep the fight where he knows it causes the most harm and will not be deterred. All this bullshit talk about superman being cavalier about the collateral damage is just hipster bullshit and intellectually lazy. Iron man didn't tell loki to NOT put the interdimensional whathefuck in new york, LOKI put there BECAUSE it caused collateral damage- his goal. Zod is the same only more so. Superman CANNOT draw the fight away (eat a dick mark waid) precisely BECAUSE zod intends to cause that mayhem. It is SUPPOSED to be upsetting. It supposed to be 9/11-ish in that world. But if popular critical acclaim has this much influence on you- then watch it in 20-30 years. It took a while for blade runner to get over critical disdain. About 20-30 years.

There are plenty of times when superman warns people away from the violence, there are plenty of times when humans elect to approach danger.
And if we had a nickle for every comic book story where metropolis is ravaged by a superman brawl...
