not even a bit tired of it.
3D ? i havent done the 3D. maybe 3D next.
at some point i'll tap out, as i have to justify the expense.
i have my big ol stack of selected comics, and the zimmer score to satiate me untill i see it again.

Meh, the 3D was pointless, in my opinion.

Superman Returns didn't have things, for me personally, to come back to. Once I saw it once in theaters, that was it. I saw what it did, what story it told, and I wasn't impressed.
Man of Steel has quite a bit for me to come back to. It's rewatchable for me. Not for its Oscar worthy script. But the images, music, and performances are enjoyable. I wish it had more atmosphere, but that's ok.

There was no time for atmosphere. The original 3.5 hour cut probably has a lot.

The movie moves so fast that if they had added another 5-10 minutes to give it more atmosphere between scenes, I wouldn't notice.

It just moves! It's a very well paced movie. Makes amazing use of its time for the most part. Much moreso than SR. There are so many useless lingering shots of people looking at things or stuff shaking on tables instead of, y'know...Superman...doing stuff...
But anyways. This weekend's BO will be interesting to see. I sure didn't expect such a dropoff, but I guess everyone who was gonna see it saw it?

There's a couple of bits I wouldn't mind skipping over, but the same goes for STM. I'm looking forward to being able to watch it on my own TV. Of course STM has stuff that we skip over. I don't think ANYBODY watches it from start to finish unless they haven't seen it in a long time or something. If I have time to kill, I'll be more likely to find a 3 minute clip on youtube than to be arsed to pop in the blu ray. The difference, at least for me, is that STM has several parts or DVD chapters that will always be fun to absorb. This is not to be confused with nostalgia. Nostalgia for me is dusting something off and re-watching it because it takes you back to a different time (heck I wasn't even born in 1978). As humans we repeat things when our senses are rewarded, aka the ice cream effect.

Let's have fun with stats.
So Batman Begins finished with $205 million domestically, with $254 million adjusted. It opened up at no. 1 with $48 million, $60 million adjusted. Dropped down to $28 million ($34 mil adjusted) on weekend 2, staying at no.1. Oh, Batman Begins sold 32 million tickets.
Man of Steel has $219 million currently. It opened at $116 million on its first weekend and dropped to $41 million on its second, falling to no. 3. As of now, it's sold about 27.6 million tickets.

If Clooney plays Lex Luthor, he'd best watch his back and pour his own drinks once the film is in the can. You know WB is itching to repeat TDK formula.

If MOS somehow hangs onto a Top Five spot, things should be fine. If, however, it drops like I fear it's going to... Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards

Sorry but you are mistaken here, and capitalizing ANYBODY implies you are talking FOR everybody. I don't watch STM but a few times a year...but when I do it's from start to finish

Ditto. I skipped around when I was a kid. I never do now. Once or twice a year all the way thru.

I am still learning to accept that I will never have any more time to myself because of my 1-year-old. My office at work is my "alone time". Don't get me wrong, I love being a dad but it's exhausting.

Got the itch to see it once more I think. I've seen it twice. And I think I want to go one more time. I need to do it quick, because my wife is due in a week and a half, so after that (as ChrisM just attested to) my time will be limited.

I had way too much free time being single and probably could have made better use of it. I mean as far as doing whatever I wanted. When you have a kid, you're no longer the boss of your life. Everything revolves around them. Even if you are expecting that and mentally prepared for it, it's still one heck of an adjustment.
