I feel that when it comes to film making, all the best ones are the pure ones.

And the few that aren't will have all the other qualities tenfold, very few films can be any good when its just a CGI fest.

The Dark Knight is a classic because everything is just wonderful

Dark Knight isn't a "purist" view of Batman, Hurst. There is no Robin, Batmans in a gimpsuit, There's plenty of things that go against the classical cannon.

Ra's Al Ghul NEVER taught Bruce Wayne, Hurst. The Wayne's were going to see Zorro when they got shot not Faust or whatever it was in Begins.

Joker has bleached skin not make up.

Alfred doesn't have a cockney accent. Caine looks nothing like Alfred

Batman is 6'2" and Bale isn't.

Rachel Dawes doesn't exist in the books. Where's Silver or Vicki?

And what about all the other stuff? Batman's also not the genius he's been shown to be in every other form of media from books to movies to other tv shows

Why was Ra's Al Ghul not immortal? Why didn't he look Arabic? Thats the way he's been portrayed for over 30 years. Where was Jokers Red Hood origin in The Dark Knight? Joker had nothing to do with Two Faces origin. Why wasn't Maroni the one that scarred Dent? Dent was scarred with acid not fire.

What is the Batman theme in Dark Knight Hurst? Why doesn't he have a "classic" theme like in Burtons films or the Reeve films or Batman TAS?

Why did Two Face die? he never died in the books.

Why did the end of the movie go all CGI with the sonar, Hurst? You hate CGI.

What does that have to do with how the movie was put together? You keep going back and forth. You say the story doesn't matter but then you say stuff like this. By that reckoning Bale was a boy. He's the youngest actor to ever play Batman and he still isn't big enough physically.

Be a Man, Steven and make up your own mind. If you watch the movie and it sucks then it sucks for you but don't go around being a follower and taking other peoples opinions as your own.
