He looks really great in that pic. I haven't been in the Berlanti loop for a few seasons but I'll be watching this.
He still looks too young though, haha. 2006 he was too young to play a post Superman 2 Donner-verse Superman and now he looks a bit too youthful to be Kingdom Come Supes. I'd love to see him as a Superman in his Prime with his present physique. Can we send him back to 2006 and re-do Superman Returns?

I’m not too keen on the idea of this release being a new remaster. I Why not? If it's a better quality version that's just been found in the archive, why wouldn't you want it cleaned up and prepped before being put to CD?

I imagine it’s an artistic choice and not an error since the yellow on the chest shield and cape shield are more accurate. Not sure why they made that choice though. If they aren’t too far into production I could see them changing it. If intentional an odd choice for sure. I have to disagree with you there. The 7inch, out of the box is the best likeness in small scale we've ever gotten. Great figure. The 1/4 scale figure looks bad in photos, but is better in hand. I think the factory paint it what really lets the sculpt down. It's not perfect, but repainted looks a lot better. I also heated the hair up on mine with a heat gun and pushed it down a bit so it's less poofy. I made him a new suit too

Not really feeling this, the expression is weird. The first pic looks like Gerard Christopher to me, though the likeness is better in profile. Why can no-one manage a smiling Reeve? Cinemaquette, Mattel,Hot Toys, Neca, DC premium format; all varying degrees of neutral to moody. I'm also unsure how you get the belt colour wrong when painting this?

Thanks for the insight. It's good to hear a report from someone who knows their stuff. I love to check out that capture of STM from TV you did. PM if you wouldn't mind sharing it.

Did they mis-label screen cap 4?

Any idea where the original six track audio is from? The audio is just 2 channel, and 317kbps at that, so pretty poor.

No idea. Unfortunatley this isn't sourced from a print, from the looks of it it's sourced from several versions of the blu ray and a 16mm print. The 35mm look has been acheived though filters and the addition of grain. It makes for a different look, but not ultimately a viewing experience I'm after. Had this been sourced from a real print and cleaned up a bit, like several other projects I've seen, it could be something really special.

I have the Star Wars Silver Screen edition, which is a fan project. It's a scan of a 35mm print of the movie on blu ray. It could be something similar, or just a coincidence with the name. I haven't heard about anyone putting together a project like this for Superman. Edit: Just had a look online and it looks to be something similar. www.supermanhomepage.com/superman-the-movie-the-35mm-silver-screen-edition/

He’s been to enough conventions to know that most die hard fans know he was in it and got cut. And there’s a chance his deleted scenes are on the Blu-rays so his stuff is out there. In the internet age it’s also probably on YouTube and people have google so if people look into it they can find out the circumstances. It’s not like it used to be where people couldn’t find out about this on their own. Either way he was involved which he’s grateful for. The scene has been on the special features since the DVD's came out. It's not a good scene. He's playing Marty's brother as a drunk in the alt 1985 timeline.

$13 dollars for a magazine? That's steep.

Funny to hear McLure mention the BTTF sequels he was in, did no one tell him he was cut out of part 2? Still got paid either way. I'm sure he was, but since he was talking about which actors are in the most sequels, and then gives a list of his credits, it's odd to hear him mention a movie he has no credit in.

Right click the image yo want to post, and select copy image location. Then in the reply, click the insert image button, it looks like a picture in a frame. Then paste the url in the box. I think you're right about the limited runs. I know Tyler Stout does low run posters for the Alamo Drafthouse that go for big money on the secondary market. All sorts of licensees used, but I guess they don't make enough to cause them a problem. Don't know why Pinto found the idea of Superman 2 so amusing, I thought it was still pretty popular. Here is a variant of the fortress poster I posted: Thanks Booshman! Will try it now- Pinto was great, I'm not sure why he thought it funny (maybe he spent a lot of time just finishing STM at this point?)- but I was kind of hoping that he was going to say one was already in mind. Here (hopefully) is the variant image. I'm not sure which I like better, but will try to grab it if there are any leftover... Edit: ug, no luck. Ok, put it in a facebook post- Here is the link to the thumbnail- www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10213920856468281&set=a.10203639891330578.1073741826.1015291913&type=3&theaterLooks like he has a few left over of that variant you liked. jonpinto.storenvy.com/products/24088482-superman-celebration-limited-editionThere is another on there too from a different event.

To answer the thread title. I'd say from my own experience Star Wars is more divisive. I know people on both sides of the fence new Star Wars. For the DCEU, I have never heard anyone say that any of the films were great. Only average to awful.

Well if animation was an option I'd take a 3d movie one the style of the Superman VS Hulk videos on YouTube. They'd need a bloody good Reeve voice double though.

I like the composition too. Just a shame so many images had to be flipped or manipulated to get it that way. It would bother me if it was on my wall.

You'll get no argument that he looks better in the STM pic. He's still most definitely Superman in the Superman 4 pic too.

I'd like to see an adaptation done without the turning back the world of Superman 1. Then the original scripted 2 and a continuation with new adventures after that. A sort of no WB, no Salkind intervention elseworld.
If also be interested to see Supeman Returns comic done with some tweaks (better justification for Superman leaving for one thing). Starring the cast of the Reeve movies. I'd like to see how differently that story would feel featuring the cast they were supposed to reprisent. An older Superman, and characters you know actually have a real history together. Would it work better?

I think you need to re-evaluate what awful means. So you actually LIKE the way Superman looks in IV!? YES I do actually LIKE the way HE looks IN superMAN four. Would have been nice to have the spit curl. For a dude recovering from a hernia he looks fine. Not a patch on Superman 3 but he still looks the part to me.
